One of my favorite places to eat in Erfurt. That's great that you can order either american or german food there. The portions are enourmous, but you can ask for a half of the dish and they will eagerly do it for you! Suitable for vegetarians as well. The service is not super perfect, it's not a restaurant, but quite okay, none of the waiters were ever rude to me, they normally smile to you and behave really friendly, so you're in a good mood for the rest of the day. The location of it is pretty close to the city centre. They have a nice summer terrace and a special room for smoking.

We visited on a sunny day and enjoyed sitting outside in the little square people watching over lunch and beers. Decent selection of beers and range of traditional thuringen cuisine... We went for goulash and rouladen with klose, all pretty tasty but nothing particularly special, just good hearty fayre and what we were expecting.

Although it was a crowded moment, we found a good table with a great view and didn't wait too long to get friendly service and a delicious food. The price was right for a place like this and we sure recommend it!

The atmospheare was great. The waiters and waitresses had cool uniforms. The way they served dishes was also spectacular. The food was delicious. However, there was very little space between the tables in the lower dining room (designed as a dungeon) which could make "traffic" between customers and waiters difficult.

The young chef Maria Gross and her talented team create an outstanding dining experience. Check their website http://www.restaurant-clara.de and look at the veal dish - it was served just like that and tasted fabulous!Special compliments to Marta Hüller for the excellent service and even more so, for her outstanding wines!

Enjoyed two meals here today after a dreadful experience at Il Ponte (restaurant opposite)the other day (do not go there under any circumstances!). This was the total opposite, friendly effusive staff with great authentic Italian food, wonderful pasta and lovely thin pizzas along with a decent range of classic Italian favourites. We particularly enjoyed the seafood pasta and the salad capresi. The veal escalope Milanese was also delicious with lovely selection of fresh veggies and lightly sautéed potatoes on the side. Good reasonably priced house wines, partularly enjoyed the Pinot Grigio, Prosecco and Montalpulciano. Great desserts would recommend the Tirimasu and the chocolate soufflé. Great value much cheaper than Il Ponte opposite (where I noticed the owner chasing some other customers who had walked out after presumably having another poor experience there! ). Donât even consider going anywhere else -La Piazzetta will fit the bill perfectly and youâll enjoy it and at a reasonable price.

It was pretty much past lunch when we found Feuerkugel. There were only a few tables occupied inside They served us great food from this region nicely garnished. Our waiter was very helpful not only with our menu choices, but also told us where we could have a great view of the nearby Merchant's Bridge.

Our kitchen works largely with regional, fresh products and offers a combination of traditional and modern cuisine. We attach great importance to high-quality products and therefore use only lactose- and gluten-free spices without the addition of taste en
My husband and I have enjoyed a lovely meal with my mother here after a day of sightseeing. The restaurant is cozy and welcoming. We called ahead and got one of the last tables so if you want to avoid disappointment book in advance. The menu offers a good variety of locally sourced specialties.

We arrived at 18:30 on a Thurs without a reservation and they kindly gave us a table until 20:00. Service was excellent. We chose a scallop starter and then a whole dorado and veal with what I believe was a faro risotto. The food was cooked to perfection with nice flavor combinations, simple and clean. With drinks for two, the total was around Euro 90.

A not so tender goose breast was the only weak point and reason for not giving 5 stars.Other food, like the delicious duck leg, and drinks were perfect, as the service has been.A nice place in the heart of the city, worth a visit.Dear Jay,thanky you for taken the time to rate our service and food.It is nice to hear that you really enjoyed your stay even if the goose was not so tender.. We will work on that--)Maybe you will return some day.We would be glad and wish you all the best.Yours Steffen Heilmann owner
