It is actually somewhat rare to find fondue and raclette in Graubunden. They originate form the French speaking part of Switzerland. So, finding it at restaurant Vorab, is kind of like finding a Philly cheese steak in Houston. That said, they know their market (tourists, mostly German) come in by the bus load. Still, I find it to be romantic, and the menu is superb. Every time I've gone, I've been treated to a different little amuse-bouche; a shot of chilled fruit soup which is a little different every time. The salads are great. Fresh, with traditional Swiss dressing, and some crunchy stuff, to make the flavors and textures very special.I've had a lot of fundue in my life, but I'd say the Vorab's version makes me dream of my next trip back there. Others posted they didn't enjoy the fondue, but it worked for my palate. They also have some other Swiss specialities such as minced veal. The wine list is full of Swiss surprises.Service was attentive and friendly. This restaurant way outclasses the hotel in which it resides. I might not rush back to lodge here, but Vorab will be my first meal spot as soon as I get to Flims again.

You feel welcome at once. The cosy traditional restaurant is placed in rural surroundings. The service is polite and timely. The food is traditional and rural. The dish sizes and accessory vegetables are not balanced and seem not well thought. The food is traditional Swiss. This being a bit limited in variation and fantasy - reflected in the menu and servings.

Nühus Bed & Breakfast suggested we try Am Brunnen and we are happy they did - otherwise we would never have known about this fantastic place. The food was simply outstanding! Everything was excellently prepared - really world class! Service was super friendly but professional and we enjoyed every aspect of the meal, even the stark white design of the dining room (which apparently shocks most Swiss people). This is still an undiscovered gem, well worth the detour, just go before it become the next big thing!

The restaurant has only few sitting places, therefore do reserve! We were delighted with the choice and the good quality of the dishes. In particular the starters were surprisingly well rounded, as if this was all it is. One can really see that the kitchen cares already from the begin. The kitchen is not spectacular or complicated. It is simple to understand and enjoy. Highly recommended.

We came for lunch to this great restaurant in Laax. As usual service personnel was very friendly attentive. Food came quickly and in large portions and tasted great Mostly traditional Swiss kitchen - perfect for a break during an intense day in the snow. Is this a helpful review? Each course is an ode to the local alpine fare. In Restaurant Epoca our chefs serve up enchanting regional specialities, in an ambiance where you'll be tempted to stay for seconds â and thirds. A wish the Epoca is only too glad to fulfil.
The Epoca is located at the Waldhaus Flims Alpine Grand Hotel & Spa. The restaurant was full over Easter time and we were glad we had a reservation.Everybody is sitting in a glass cube which has been fixed to the outside of a historic building, looking into the park. It is stylish, but not overly. The staff was friendly and attentive. The wine menu is good as well.We both had starters and a main. Everything was excellent, but I most liked my goose liver, wow!If you are in the area you must try it. Dear guestThank you very much for your warm and wonderful review and for your recommendation. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and had such a memorable experience. We are looking forward to welcoming you soon again.Sincerely yours,Simon RusconiGeneral Manager

Located in one of the oldest buildings of Flims (built in 1453) we serve unique food creations "Cavigilli made" in a unique setting. Enjoy the atmosphere of our two small dining rooms - the "Carigiet-Stube" and the "Gothische Stube".We would be happy to w
Very romantic and intimate setting with excellent Italian food, paired with distinctive wines. Good price \ quality combination for the delicious offerings. This was our second visit and we already look forward to come back and try more of the menu.

A superb gem in the middle of Flims Waldhaus, run by the chef who used to be the head chef at the iconic Waldhous hotel for 2 years. The menu is relatively restricted (=good, everything is certainly fresh), but anybody is certain to find something to please them. We asked our extremely approachable and pleasant German waiter as to what were the signature dishes of the house and the answer was interesting: fish soup and the beef hip cooked sous-vide. We ordered both: the fish soup was *superb* while the sous vide beef is cooked for at least 14 hours at 55C, quickly fried and when served, it is as tender as anything tender you have ever tasted. If anything can be said against the food it is that the portions are too big. However, having walked for more than 3 hours up/down/up/down that day, I was not complaining too much. The owner (and head chef) himself came over to our table a number of times to check that everything was fine. He also offered some valuable tips on the sous-vide cooking, which we are certain to try back in England. If you like local beers, you may appreciate trying the Monsteiner Huusbeer from Davos which they stock. I have not tried that before: it is light and neither bitter nor sweet. Definitely an intriguing taste. They recommended the Harmonium wine from Sicily, which was OK, but not in the stellar league. But hey, the night was warm and Harmonium was definitely not unpleasant. Give it a try; you may like it.If you stay at the Waldhous hotel, Chesa is only 10 mins away on foot. Go for it.

lovely mountain restaurant with a panoramic terrace, quaint interior, good Swiss food and efficient and friendly service. Have never been disappointed in any way. Try the Sennensalat, a Wurstkäsesalat served in a loaf of bread, delicious and very filling.

Charmantes Berghotel im modernen Alpen-Chic, im Sommer direkt am Elmer Höhenweg und im Winter unmittelbar neben der Skipiste.
It is well worth the hike to the restaurant. The food was amazing, view of the mountains spectacular, and service was lovely. If you have the time, I recommend booking a room as well!Dear Nicole F, thank you for your positive reaction. We hope to see you here at the Bischofalp again - this time hopefully for an overnight stay.
