I was with a small group for whom the menu had been chosen to represent local foods. We started with mushroom soup which was good, though a little over-salted to my taste, a common problem in Austria. The chicken in breadcrumbs was well presented and correctly cooked. We finished with tonka bean parfait. We didn't want to eat in the restaurant on a hot evening, which looked ordinary, so we re-located to seating in the courtyard, fortunately most people were eating inside so we weren't bothered by smokers.

A good Austrian Gasthaus, i.e. a pub with home cooking, but in this case really excellent home cooking, at reasonable prices, and good sized portions, with a strong Hungarian influence, and (when I visited) a local clientele. Service was good for a restaurant of this type. The waiter sounded Hungarian, spoke good German and English. They closed at 9pm but we were told they would stay open later if it was busy. Recommended.

This restaurants offers a very nice menu, including venison specialties, and it is obvious that people just come to enjoy a cool one.( I can't judge, as I don't drink beer.) The food is well prepared and presented, and the helping are ample. We were travelling in early fall, and we decided to sit outside in the very pleasant shaded courtyard. This place can be recommended for anybody: good food, good value, nice ambience - it is a winner!

At the time we visited the white asparagus was in abundance. We started with asparagus panna cotta which was light, refreshing and very tasty. For main course my wife had the asparagus cordon bleu, large pieces of tender asparagus lightly cooked. I had the asparagus risotto which was very flavoursome. This was washed down with a glass of wonderful dry Gruner Veltliner Eating outside was a delight and the restaurant was clean and brightly furnished. The majority of the staff were very cheerful, helpful and friendly. Spoilt only by one waitress with glasses who treated us as idiots when telling us about the food, an opinion we did not ask for. Without this I would have rated this as excellent. Dear Anthony,Thank you for the good rating. I'll talk to the waitress and will train her once more.I would be glad to welcome you soon in the restaurant Henrici.Best regards Martin

Restaurant Und Hotel Im Burgenland
While staying at Hotel Ohr, we ended up eating at this lovely restaurant several times. We especially enjoyed the typical German mixed salads and a house special of spaetzle with pumpkin and cheese. Delicious! Prices were good and the patio atmosphere was perfect on a late summer evening!!
