Reviews on Central European food in Dubrovnik, Dalmatia, Croatia. Dubrovnik has recovered from the war damage it suffered during the 1990s, and visitors have returned to this tranquil city. Nestled between the Adriatic and the Dinaric Alps, it’s an accessible and affordable city break for many European travelers. The pedestrian-only Old Town is especially charming.

We stopped by front of Moretic familyâs house and asked can we find some lunch somewhere. And we certainly find. At first we got cherries, dried figs and drinksat terrace. Then we got invited inside where Anna and Antonio served home made bread, prosciutto and cheese. Main course was chicken, veal and lamb, slowly cooked with potatoes. All home made of course and delicious. After that our youngest kid ran to the pool with Antonio jr, so pan cakes, needless to say, home made, with ice cream was served near pool. Spending a sunday afternoon with Family Moretic was definitely one of the best experience ever. You gotta visit them!

Recomended by Michelin guide for 2017 and 2018 and currently in contest for Croatian best restaurant
Lovely bistro with friendly attentive staff. Complimentary hors dâ ourves. Recommendations for main course and accompaniments, or rather not needed, and wine. Quality of food really good. Tomato soup exceptional. One slight criticism is that the main course was on the cool side for our tastes. Very reasonably priced.

Delicate tastes well thought through with local food and wine. Martini.....good way to start. Pigeon was served with a rich silky sauce, prawns well cooked. Lobster was delicious as was the fillet. Dessert was a great finish. If you want fine dining, come here.

Nautika Restaurant lies on the very edge of the sea at Pile, alongside the entrance to Dubrovnik's Old City. From its unique terraces, diners can enjoy a truly one-of-a-kind view of the Adriatic and the fortresses of Lovrijenac and Bokar. The restaurant's
"Dubrovnik's Finest Restaurant" - and indeed it is!The very location recommends Nautika for a special evening: view and atmosphere are outstanding and create the perfect setting for fine dining. The tasteful décor of the restaurant and the highly professional staff create a cultivated framework for the excellent cuisine. F&B Manager Tomislav Lonac had the kindness to show around and explain the design considerations - justly proud of the distinguished restaurant he himself was a true representative of.Placed on the terrace on a warm October evening, we had chosen the 5-course fish menu with accompanying wines - and this proved a perfect choice indeed, excellent to the very detail. The service and information given by our evening's host Valentino on the Croatian wines, olive oils, the individual dishes was outstanding; we together enjoyed an unusually pleasant 'food experts' discussion of ingredients and potential variations. Nautika is an special experience - and a very special memory. All respect and admiration for the outstanding team; it would be our greatest pleasure to return one day.Dear Gabriella JR, Thank you very much for your valuable time to write a candid review of our Nautika restaurant. It is always heart-warming to hear that our cuisine and gorgeous views were greatly enjoyed. We would like to use this opportunity also to thank you once again for being our guests. We are extremely pleased to hear you enjoyed "al fresco" dining in mid-October and our service which focuses on attention to details. Looking forward to welcoming you again in Nautika restaurant we send our kindest regards,Mario RaicGeneral Manager

We were pleasantly surprised by this nice restaurant. Once we had figured out how to get in (via the outside steps, as its completely abandoned inside!), we were greeted very warmly. The service remained very friendly and attentive for the entire duration of the meal, and it was definitely one of the best service experiences we had in Croatia. Their homemade bread and olive oil was delicious and all of us were really happy with our food - it was all really good!
