Little wonder this great restaurant has such strong reviews as it delivers on pretty well every level.Despite having to recently hire a new chef the standard of food, presentation and overall quality is excellent. The tuna entrée with mekame seaweed, squid ink mayonnaise and avocado cream with langoustine foam was really excellent. For mains we picked filet of bream and the veal cooked two ways - slow and seared, delicious. My mouth watering dessert was raspberries, with raspberry ice cream, raspberry caviar and merangue......perfect.While the menu is entirely in Dutch the staff painstakingly took us through each dish to ensure we understood them before making our choices. The décor and ambience are tasteful, charming and make for a very relaxed evening. The wine list is reasonable and has a good selection of both red and white wines.Recommend it highly and would return anytime.

We had lunch here on Saturday 11th. Very nice terrace, a proper menu for a lunch, with sulla traditional and some less combination. I've tried the goat cheese with honey and appel/dadels salade, definitely tasty! The typical Uitsmijter also was pretty good. The bread used on both dishes was delicious, especially the full-grain one with walnut. Interior was also quite nice. Eventually, I would replace the toilet wooden floor for something different.. It can be a bit smelly.Overall, a really nice break in town! Thanks for your positive review!(The floor in our toilet however is not of real wood, but of PVC which can be cleaned very good and easily! ;) )

This restaurant distinguishes itself by serving simple yet very tasty dishes. The ingredients are fresh and mostly locally sourced. The chef that gives this restaurant it's name has always made "regular dishes" special. On a good day there is plenty of small airplane traffic. The airport is expanding to a regional hub, so who knows where this restaurant can go.The relaxed atmosphere and nostalgic aviaion theme makes this a great place to visit with familiy and friends.

RATATOUILLE In our restaurant we like our guests to enjoy and have a good time together, whether they come together for each others companionship, and enjoy delicious drinks and relish, also with the dishes on the table that are shared, called "Sharing Di
Some of us might remember the Disney film of the same name and the play of words between Remy (the Rat) and Ratatouile (the one vegetable stirred up dish)where the rodent faces the challenge of becoming a chef, while pleasing the food critic , is memorable. This story has proved irresistible to restauranteurs and the Restaurant Ratatouille in Harderwijk,a Hanseatic Town in Holland,is one such manifestation. Located in the historic Vischmarkt square of the Oude Town, the place is the brainchild of Wim Zwaart (Masterchef) and Tina Zwaart (Vinologist) and has undergone extensive redesign opening up spaces at different levels, affording views of the modern kitchens and providing various private seating arrangements. While Restaurant Ratatouille is open only for dinner and Sunday brunchthe extensive menu and wines draws clientele both far and near to its doors. The prices at this possibly the best restaurant in the area are high as befits the high standards set and no one is complaining. The tradition of Ratatouille is in good hands.

We had a bite to eat here before walking off into the sunset to the harbour (impatiently) waiting for Sinterklaas to arrive! {Am still a big kid at heart !}It was very cold outside and the little town was getting busier by the minute, so we stopped off here at De Haas for a while to warm up and more importantly, to devour a couple of kroketten each and drink a pils or two. This place is full of atmosphere, with beautiful old stucco ceilings and gorgeous chandeliers. The service too was excellent and the lady who served us was lovely!Excellent all round!
