We came here with the children for a late lunch and it was glorious. The views are spectacular and everything we ordered was delicious. Would really recommend the gnocchi and the risotto. Steak came a little on the rare side - which was fine for us - but maybe order yours one or two higher than you normally would. (My husband's 'medium' steak came extremely bloody, but was very tender) If we were back in Tihany we would definitely eat here.

We stopped by on a blistering hot day and the mister outside was wonderful. We shared a pizza and it was very good. We had a couple of cold draft beer while looking up the stairs to the Abby. Great location next to the drop off place for the trolley train. Service was very good as were the prices.

WORST "DINNER" EVER. End of story. Avoid. Salty, cold, fat, almost not eatable. Bad smell from the kitchen. After our complaint it is bad, no reaction.

If you want to have a great view, well, this is a really good place for that, but you better not eat!Food is horrible. One of the waiters is simply stupid. Should be hidden somewhere...And this is a quite pricy place...

I had heard of this place a lot before so I was glad to spot it as we drove by. The interior is fine but a little bit “plain”. Service was polite and friendly, but the friendliness was a little too much for me, for example I did not like the waiter placing his hand on my shoulder.Pea soup was OK, main dishes were good, the cottage cheese ball dessert was nothing like we expected, it was more of foam balls.

We were here for late dinner in May 2018, so the main season was just at the beginning. Not many people in any of the restaurants in Tihany. We have ordered two chicken salads, glass of wine and wheat beer called Edelweis. We get small pizza thingies aside the salads. They were really good, so we wanted to order another portion of them. Waitress said it is not possible. Well, ok, no problem.. though I would think you can be little creative if guest asks for something you don´t have on the menu... Another problem was when we ordered another pair of drinks. Waitress brought us normal Soproni beer in Edelweiss glass. My friend said it is not Edelweiss, waitress said "Oh my god" and rolled her eyes. OK, sorry for being so rude to be a guest who knows the difference between beer and beer :/ She brought the right beer and since that moment no one came to our table to ask if we want to order anything else. Only when I wanted to pay, another waitress came.It was really bad experience. I know the season is just beginning, you do not have many guests, which may made you a bit nervous, but ... hey, your guests are bringing your salary in their wallet.

When arriving, they took us to their Hungarian Food Museum, where we got to know(and tasted!) some local Hungarian products.The manager and waiter were very passionate in explaining the dishes and wines, and their connection to local families and businesses.The food was amazing and the prices were not expensive. Definetly a restaurant to visit when at the Balaton Lake. This busy restaurant offers a great collection of Hungarian food in good quality. Staff is helpful, prices are reasonable. Try the cheese soup, the aubergine cream... or anything you like :O) On weekends book in advance, the restaurant is always full, at least in Summer.

We went to have a nice dinner in the Corn restaurant , but unfortunately the whall dinner was a shamble . Firstly I ordered a soft drink which was absolutely warm , I complained straight away, after they braught a small ice bucket . We ordered 2 fish soups 1 trout with almond and 1 Hungarian chicken soup , the fish soups and the trout was served with out any bone plate . During the dinner nobody checked back if everything was ok ? The chicken soup was a 400 ml. “Large” soup , we only found 4 pieces of chicken incide prox 1 ( one gramm all) . After main course I hade to find a waiter to clear the table . Than we ordered dessert . The dessert was one somloi nockel , 2 chestnut purée and one ice cream . By the middle of our dessert , one of the waitress turned up to clear everything included the last glass is well . That was the time when I complainedand said that she should never remove the last glasses from the table . Than she replied that is normal , it’s maybe normal for her but not where I was in the past in the restaurant business the last glasses all ways remaining ! It’s weryunprofeccional to remove it.I ordered the bill and 1 last espresso . The female blonde headwaiter who braught me the bill was very arrogant she would not taking account any of my complain regards of the unprofessional service and lack of chicken in the soup , nevertheless the bone plate and the warm soft drink , pluss that nobody checked back the food . When I tried to tell her she was interrupted me and wouldn’t listen she replied that it’s not a big dill .Because she wouldn’t listen to me and was so arrogant , I questioned her how dare she is talking to me like that arrogantly , and I also said that I would never recommend this place to anybody .Her answer was to snatch my bill and grab it and saying in that case you don’t need to pay . First of all I didn’t go there for charity , more over as a caterer it was a shame to see all this mistakes on mistakes with out proper control . I really hade a bad experience there and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody .They need a lots of training , I saw a bonch of waiters in the group talking to each other instead of doing there job . What’s gong on in the (Kukprica Csárda) ???? Please please please learn some manners and service , it’s essential before they approaching any table in the restaurant .

Tihany by winter is amazing. Balaton shows its different face. This place becomes even better when not crowded but warm and cozy with amazing food, quickly prepared.
