They have good parking lot, good service and the prices are very competitive. The "ceviches" were absolutely great!! The shrimp dishes are pretty good too. If you are a seafood lover you should definitely come to this place.

$1 or $2 will get you just about anything on the menu. Friendly, fast service. However, if you're going to be staying with locals in Honduras, take this opportunity, while at the airport food court, to eat something OTHER than beans in a tortilla. I spent a few days in Honduras. Every meal every day was either a baleada or a deep-fried baleada or an open-faced baleada. Go spend $6 on a Wendy's burger next door while you still can!!

This wonderful restaurant is around the corner from the La Posada B&B, which recommended it. I went there on a Friday night and business was booming, with good reason. The food is fabulous, and the service is even more fabulous, and friendly to boot. El Costillal serves Honduran dishes, superbly prepared, and an assortment of drinks. The clientele seems to be mostly from the neighborhood, and includes lively people of all ages having a grand old time. It is large and loud, and a good dinner with a beer can be had for about US$10.

Barbecue and traditional Honduran food. Their grill meats are so tender and tasty. Also, try their green plantains...crispy and perfect!
I visited Chedranis twice in mid February 2017. On one visit I had their mixed grill) 4 meats; beef, chicken, pork and Veal(?). They were tender, juicy and cooked to perfection with complimentary marinades. Side included an excellent medium sized buttered baked potato. A couple of nights later I went back and had their garlic shrimp saluted with a lemon garlic sauce, served with a fresh tomato salad. The shrimp were tender and grilled to perfection. Excellent service. Waiter willingly split the checks for our 15 member party into separate five checks. Can't wait to return again.

Dinner with a large business group. Our waiter was amazing. He didnât write anything down yet he never missed any drink or food that anyone ordered. Everything was delivered to the correct person without him even asking again. He was an absolute professional and really made our evening special going the extra mile. He saw me scratching after having been bitten by a mosquito and brought me some repellant! The food too was delicious. Itâs a local food restaurant so very neat orientated - everyone was delighted with their steaks. Me being vegetarian - the waiter went to special lengths to ensure I had plenty of choice - I shared the queso fundido with the others but enjoyed a delicious Asian salad for my main. The dressing was sooo good! Highly recommend this place.

Our daughter organized a surprise dinner for our 25th anniversary at La Cité. She carefully picked every meal and wine. Each serving was beautifully put together. The Beef and Salmon Carpaccio light and fresh, the Mushroom cappuccino ( my favorite) was an exquisite fresh mushroom cream soup, served in a cappuccino glass mug, and our main courses fresh fish and Rib Eye with a Café de Paris sauce cooked perfectly well ( medium rare).I applaud the effort that the team has put together, and highly suggest this restaurant for business lunches/dinner, special occasions or for a nice glass of wine with an appetizer after work. The restaurant has a chic ambiance, confortable seating, with a well trained staff.

This year my visit was better than ever. The property has more to offer. The food is fantastic. Everything from Steak, tacos and pizza on Friday night. The excellent service is prompt and professional. They also serve craft beer brewed on site from Casa del Bosque. The mountain adventure is so beautiful and I recommend the Canopy (zip lines) for the whole family. I did it many times. It's for the young and old.I love this place and can't wait to return. I'm told rooms should available in the future . Don't miss this jewel in Honduras.

This is an excellent steakhouse. I have been visiting this place for the last 25 or so years. It started in a small place near Monumento de la Madre, and 18 years ago it moved into this large converted mansion. There are table inside in AC comfort, and there are tables on the outside. On weekends there is usually a band of some sort playing. They offer national and imported cuts of meat, shrimp and chicken. My favorite cut is the Filet del Portal, which comes in half pound and full pound cut of a thick piece of very tasty meat.
