this is a local tipico restaurant with great access to the Interamericana in David. Located on the way to Price Smart, it is right on the highway.They have a good variety of Panamanian dishes but cooked with great flavor. Nothing is dry or overcooked ever and the prices are fair if not just a touch high. There are plenty of tables to sit at comfortably and a mix of folks are there at all times for a meal, be it breakfast of lunch.

This simple restaurant is just across the street from the backpacker's hostel Bambú. It serves really good food (mainly fish and seafood with fried plantains and cabbage salad and sauce) for a favorable price.I was there already three times, thus can really recommend it :)

We ate several meals at La Abigail during our visit to La Barquetta. For lunch or breakfast, you can dine with a cool sea breeze and the sounds of the surf while you dine outside in the shade - talk about a cheeseburger in paradise... The menu had a good lineup of lunch options. You HAVE to try the fried ceviche! Inside, they dress it up a bit for the evening meal. The food was fantastic but a little slow by American standards, but dinner isn't a rush at any restaurant in Panama so just relax and enjoy.

You know, there is a reason that you do not see hardly any Panamanian restaurants in the USA...the food is eh...BUT this restaurant elevates it to new levels! Cute space inside with mom & pop running it/working it and I think the son is behind the bar making a mean Piña colada. My husband had shrimp in garlic sauce and I had the fish-of-the-day in garlic sauce and both were very flavorful! The menu was almost too big, but we wanted to focus on seafood and we were not disappointed.
