We have some long relation with EMPbrava. (20 years) This year we used as always Tripadvisor for some new recommendations. Ams popped up and I must say WOW!!! Fresh air fresh food great people working for this restaurant and not easy in high season to get this high level from into your team. You feel, see and taste this, well done and keep this level.

Revisited the area where I lived for a few years and was amazed to see what the town council had done with a very poor beach front area......'Simply amazing' is all I can say.Landscaped, old neglected restaurants renewed and new ones built. One of these was from the small chain TXOTS which I had never heard of.Well it was great value for money and that good that I (we) went back for 3 nights running. The fact that they had Estrella Damm craft lager-beer was a real bonus where you can see the specialist vats in the celler. We didn't have one duff dish, and I can say that the 'do it yourself' avocado guacamole is terrific. We must have had 75% of the menu over those 3 days from fish to meat to veg and all were top notch. Now the most important thing to remember here is that this place gets very busy so you must be prepared to wait to be seated if you go later in the evening. Don't get pissed of the front of house manager ignores you once you have made contact on arrival. As is the case they always stretch the waiting staff to their maximum so it is so important to engage positively with whoever takes you to a table. We watched a couple of grumpy Frenchies who were your archetypal complainers where all was wrong. They complained about everything, where as we had not one issue. We had great service from all the waiting staff from day one and tipped very well to show our appreciation. And my last comment I saved for those of you who like traditional home made cheesecake like your granny used to make.....SUPERB. You have to have it. None of your overly sweet creamy New York style stuff here and you can buy a whole one to take away. My highlight of the visits.Remember that this is a small local chain and could change if it gets to big like so many before, so visit while you can.

We went to Bar Tony's on the strength of the reviews on here and weren't disappointed. The food was great, but the service was exceptional, super-friendly, helpful (we had no Spanish) and were not that familiar with the menu. We all ate lovely food, (Spanish meats and cheese, tapas and veal and chicken burgers.)

This is an attractive restaurant with many attractive offerings on the menu. We opted for the tasting menu for 25 euros and were very happy with all the many different things we were served, starting with olives and pa amb tomaquet, followed by all sorts of seafood, and ending with dessert, although by then I was about done for!

Mediterranean and international kitchen
Nice place well positioned on beach front, and busy. Outdoor and indoor seating, in winter however the glass house is totally enclosed yet they allow smoking, there are tables in the main building but a bit dark in there and no view. We endured the smokers to have a better aspect. The food is good we had salad and leg of lamb, very nice and well cooked with SPANISH sauce. We were first in but last to be served with pan tomat etc not impressed. Staff are friendly but Service could be better. Price is fair, but wonât be in a rush to go back. dear customer, I regret that the service in this second view was not as you expected I will analyze what could happen so that the same service as in your other visit if you were pleased this time was not and I hope that for your next visit if this as you request! the bread was taken later by a human error we are asking the customers if they wish or not and in his case he was not asked and when I saw that they did not have it immediately I proceeded to serve him! some customers complained that this service was automatic and they will be billed without consulting and we are in the process of adapting to the new system and we still have some failure because sometimes we forget to ask and the kitchen service does not prepare it if they do not have the order before they did it without asking and that gave to some customers criticized him in his case gave that to not be automatic was delayed, we felt a lot out like this, the food if it was up to the task, the service was nice but something failed would be helpful if you tell me to improve it at [email protected] Thanks and we hope to see you again even if it is not as soon as we would like!

We definetly recommend this restaurant. The food is of such high quality, the meat and even the fish: octopus and shrimps. The roasteries from the dessert were amazing too. We will repeat if we be back to Zaragoza.Thank you very much for your comment! We wait for you as always! Our intention is to offer you the best grilled meats.

The Informal is a bar with no pretensions that deserves a good opinion. Why? Lets see...First: Despite is located in the edge of the main street of Empuriabrava, this bar offers a great terrace where, specially by night, is a nice place to chill, dinner...If you prefer to stay inside, it is fine.More, the food is correct and very affordable. Jamón serrano, pan con tomate, tasty cheeses, squid etc and also sandwiches. The staff is correct and in the rush hour they do their best...I think that is well balanced meal and price.
Turning back to the origin of the kitchen, the grilled cuisine, the basic taste, more primitive, where the smell of smoke go hand in hand with all ingredients of the dishes⦠At Brasic we love cooking, so we also offer you a gastronomic experience with dif
We walked past this restaurant and decided to try it because it looked clean and modern and it offered what appeared to be some interesting local dishes. We sat down and I ordered the turbot, and my wife ordered the sole. I thought that it was a little unusual for a restaurant to have two varieties of fish on its menu that are so very similar but I explained it to myself on the basis that the sauces (as described on the menu) appeared to be very different. We were given a small tasting dish which was very nice. Everything was looking good. And then the mains arrived. Honestly, when the server put the dishes down in front of me, I was impressed. A real effort had obviously been made to arrange each dish. But the fish on my plate was a fillet of fish (about 15mm thick) and covered in its skin. It did not look like turbot at all. I didn't complain because the dish looked so good. On my wife's plate was a triangular piece of fish, obviously a cut from around the tail of a fish, again, covered in skin. It looked nothing like sole. It looked like a cut from cod/cabiott or some other scaly fish with that same shape. We commenced eating. My fish was bland, the swirls of dressing on the plate were tasteless and added nothing to the taste. The overriding taste was a strange fishy taste with a lot of salt over the top. There was no butter or lemon or sauce of any type, it wasn't pan-cooked or braised (or at least braised correctly). It was pretty awful. Dry, funny smell. My wife did not eat her fillet. She said it wasn't sole. I looked at it and I agreed. Then I tasted it. It tasted the same as mine, but it was bad, going off. It was old. That was the same taste in my fish, but more strong in the smaller thinner tail section.I recognised it as being old-fish when I tasted her fish. I think that it was cod too. I think that the chef palmed off 2 cuts from one Fish that was going out of date. One of the worse, most dishonest meals I have ever had. I felt sick all afternoon. To be avoided at all costs.Dear Lough222,Thank you very much for taking part of your valuable time to share your recent experience with us.First of all, I would like to extend my apologies for not having met your expectations. At the same time, I would like to review some details following your comments. I do not know if you made any comments directly during your stay regarding the fish however, I would have liked to correct this immediately by adding another dish in its place at no cost to you. We would also like to clarify that in our restaurant Brasic, the protagonist of the kitchen is our wood oven, which forces us to cook some of the fish such as sole and turbot (not cod) along with its skin, to reach its optimum cooking. Possibly the confusion was due to bring a sauce "Pil Pil" that accompanies it, made from the gelatin of cod that is emulsified with garlic and olive oil. We regret that your overall experience with us has not met your expectations and we take note of your comments to improve the level of satisfaction of our customers.Best regards,Brasic Team
