We wanted Cuban, but didnât want to navigate Mount Dora on a festival weekend. Yeah, Trip Advisor to the rescue. This place doesnât have many reviews, but all are laudatory. A little tricky to spot, but worth looking. The Caldo Gallego soup was excellent, as was the Ropa Vieja. The beef on the some vaca frita was dried out and overly chewy. The accompanying mofango was fine. The cafe con leche was excellent. The mango mousse was nothing special. Our server was very helpful, pleasant, and efficient. And the decor is a walk down memory lane to the eve of the revolution, as the name suggests.

Our car group had a delicious buffet dinner here. It is adjacent to the Key West Hotel and on the lake. Chicken, beef, salad, oriental veggies, rice, and dessert. Food was generous, but could have been hotter. Special treat - kareoke night. We had a great time. Joined in with the regulars to sing fun songs.

Wonderful!!! Huge portions! We both got the ribs. Not typically big on Jamaican style food but then this!!! Worried about the spicy at first, but you can get as spicy as you want! The collards and rice & beans & green beans all delicious!! Can't wait to go back & try the chicken. It's a small dive but many coming in for take out! Bob Marley pictures up & music playing in background!
