We stopped at Tartanaise after a visit at Chateau Dubuc on a Sunday morning. A family restaurant for our family lunch. Reasonable prices. Pleasant terrace facing the sea, simple colored decor inside. On the menu classic Creole dishes plus surprisingly mussels. We enjoyed our meal with a special mention for accras and octopus fricassee. Decent lobster, fresh grilled red snapper, served with rice, yam, plantain. Coco blanc-mange as a dessert. All this was topped by a fresh Muscadet. While restaurant was busy our waitress was friendly and efficient. We had a great time in family.

A sign on the street a narrow alley to their stairs are all that are between you and a beautiful view, friendly service, and good local food. Very clean. The lobster was generous. Although each was small, there were three half-tails on the grilled lobster plate. Don't be misled by size, the smaller lobsters are sweeter and more tender (even grilled). Not a place to spend hours nursing a beer, but if you want a good meal, a stellar view, a clean environment, and friendly staff-this place can provide that.

Various members of our family of 5 returned 3 times over the course of our 4 day visit to this family run affair spilling onto the street directly across the main beach in town. The snapper in sauce hit the spot for our first dinner after arriving from the US, and we returned for 2 long lunches in subsequent days to savor their creole, seafood focused menu offerings, with beer and rum drinks to add to the fun. They are very good about making space in their somewhat cramped locale for "one more party," but they'll love you best if you make a reservation. Expect attentive, if slow service - they are just so very busy. Savor the food, the diverse crowd, and the relaxed vibe. Livio is the suave and gracious front of house young man, be nice to him and he'll be super nice to you!

For less than 20 Euros we had two chicken dinners with lots of "Frites", bread and two drinks.I had "Colombo de Poulet" which was more of a mild curry flavor than I expected in the Caribbean. The service here was polite and friendly and so were the other patrons.Chez Suzy is just off the main road as you come into town so it may easy to miss at first. For an affordable meal and the chance to maybe dine with a few locals, I think Chez Suzy is worth a try.

This restaurant is a little jog off the main road, but very near a really great beach. There is no direct beach view here. Chicken and guava juice were delicious. Staff was sweet.

This small snack facing the beach is ideal for a quick delicious local lunch. It is not the fanciest but definitely a typical little beach side restaurant in Martinique! The simple set menus ( accras + a choice of 4 mains with sides of rice, red beans and bananas + fresh fruit or ice cream for dessert) are all below 20⬠and guarantee an efficient service as well as fresh mains!! The accras came just a couple minutes after ordering and the mains were delicious: we had Chatrou (octopus) which was fantastic, perfectly cooked and seasonned as well as the Gambas which were really good (although a bit messy to eat!). The sides were simply delicous, especially the red beans! We were so glad to have stopped there on a whim!

Great little beach restaurant. The personnel is extremely welcoming, the menu changes every day, good food inspired by creole influences, great cocktails too, the kids will have fun on the slack line or playing darts whilst the parents enjoy their meal.Clearly MUCH better than the next door alternative.Booking is advised. Not cheap but worth it.Hi thank you for the report itwas good having you.Regards

Good food, great view, and a wonderful host. This place was down the street from our hotel, but the fusion of French and Caribbean cuisine will delight your inner foodie. This pineapple creme brûlée was next level tasty. You might even want to consider staying at the hotel here given the amazing views and accommodating personable owner.Cheers, John
