I have been here a number of times over the past few months for take out. Whether it is hamburgers and fries, Spicy fried chicken, chicken Francese or fried pickles. Portions are extremely generous. Not to mention the cannoli or cheese cakes. Well today we decided to eat there. Husband had the hamburger and fries and I had the Bourbon Street Steak with fries. For appetizer we shared the artichoke Francese (which was to die for). The folks who own this place are great. You will definitely not leave hungry and everything is well worth what you pay for. This is certainly a gem in the Poconos.

Visiting the area, we wanted something authentic, tasty and not too expensive -- mamasitas exceeded on all counts. We tried a lot of different dishes and enjoyed every bite. STandouts were the bacalao fritters, crispy-tender, not fishy but delicious, an unfamiliar treat we know we will miss. The chicken stew was generous (leftovers fed us all over again the next day!) and tasted just right. The two kinds of platanos (tostones and maduros) were also as good as we've had anywhere. What we loved most of all was the passion and care that Mamasita put into every dish, all totally fresh and cooked to order, and the sincerity of her wish to please and delight us -- which she did!!You can't beat home made, authentic family-recipe type ethnic food. The prices are so fair you can feast here.We had the same warm welcome others have remarked on and enjoyed every minute of our visit and every bite. If we lived locally, we'd be regulars.

I've been to the original place so was excited to try the much larger place about a mile away. The Tostones with mojito sauce and Empanadas were awesome. I had the Bistec en Salsa (Steak and onions in a sauce) which was very good and tasty. My wife had the rotisserie chicken which was dry but edible. The coffee was excellent as well. Nice portion size. Very good eats and inexpensive. Will definitely go back.

I'm from Dallas texas and there is tons of hip new cuisines on the rise ( so i've tasted many) and when I visited East Stroudsberg pa the only place I ate at was Island Delights it was amazing.They give free test taste of whatever you want so go to town and chow down yummmm wish I could eat there again
