If you are looking for a good place to have drinks, this is the place! This is a nice place to get together with friends. When I came here it was for lunch with the family. This place is located next to all the other restaurants, and the Seminole Town Center Mall. I feel like the atmosphere here is more for adults. Food is good. Highly recommend for a girls brunch!

We saw the banner and decided to try this Jamacian restraunt. We were happy we did. We started with an order of fried green tomatoes! 5 large slices with a crispy exterior! Served with a "special sauce" (thousand island dressing) these were really good. We also had "grilled conch". A stir fry of slivered conch, peppers and onions in a spicy sauce. This was also excelent. A couple of fried plantains, that were perfect, and rice and peas (actually rice, no peas) with a sauce rounded out the meal. Everything was spicy, but delicious! Our waiter, Elijah, was very knowlegable and attentive. In all, I was very happy we stopped. Highly recomended!

Wow! So good! A taste of real Jamaican food in Sanford. Incredible food and wonderful service. Since the food is made the right way with love, not all dishes are available at all times--they gave us their menu with their number so next time we can call ahead to make a request or see what they have prepared that day. On our visit, we had a spicy Jamaican patty, oxtail and curry chicken served with rice and peas, plantains, and cabbage. I also got my daughter a Ting--one of my favorite Jamaican treats--and she loved it! We will definitely be back the next time we're in Sanford.Just a note--this is mostly a take-out place, as their name suggests, but there is a small countertop and table to eat-in, so you do have that option. Also, the location is easy to miss--I believe the sign above it reads "Jamaican Restaurant" and the windows say "MO-Bay Take Out" but Google Maps will get you there. It's in the same strip mall as the Winn Dixie.
Shantell herself waited my table. We had a great conversation. But What is outstanding the food! Atmosphere is great as well. I had catfish it was perfectly cooked. I will back. If you are looking for really good homemade southern cooking make this place a stop on your trip. Down town Sanford is quaint small Florida town with well worth the drive from I4 or sr417 to skip the chains near the highways.
