After reading other reviews we decided to try this place. My husband ordered a dinner special which he really liked. I got a Cuban sandwich and have to agree with the other reviewers that it was not that great. Staff was pleasant and good prices.

This small, mostly take out restaurant deserves a try. We ordered the Goat meat and Oxtail entrees. The food was plentiful and hot....served in microwavable containers. Interested spices, not spicy and worthy of a second visit. The owner is very sweet and the restaurant will be supported by it's growing fan base.

Great food and prices with excellent service.
For our first visit, we stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. The server, Phendli, was so friendly and welcoming! Because we were not familiar with much of the food, we both ordered the Saturday special, fritay. We ordered one each of chicken and pork. It was so much food! I got three delicious battered chicken legs and my husband got several chunks of pork shoulder rolled in a spicy rub. Both meals came with 3 malanga and two other fried somethings, as well as four large slices of fried plantains. It was far more than we could eat and we took home half of it for a second meal each. The malanga seemed to be overcooked, were quite dark in color, and were not to our liking. We ordered a coconut tart, which was also overbaked, dark, and dried out. Perhaps that is the correct way to serve it, but we thought it should have been less well done. The atmosphere is bright and cheery, with colorful posters and island music playing. We plan to come back and try their gumbo.

While in the hospital having a proceedure done, one of the nurses was from Jamaica. I told her how much I loved jerk chicken and she told me about this restaurant. My wife and I went for dinner and per her suggestion I had the curried chicken. Stop making faces, this is not like the Indian curry, milder but with a kick. It was delicious. Wife had the stew chicken and it was fabulous. They give you a sample plate to try different sauces before you order. Service was friendly and informative. Everything is made from scratch every day and you can taste the difference. The rum raisan cheese cake was one of the best we have eaten. Were told by other customers that their daily fresh soups are outstanding. Highly recommend!
