We visited twice for dinner and really enjoyed our meal both times. Great inexpensive wine selection, unusual pizza toppings (try the banana, no kidding!), friendly staff. We bought a bottle to bring home only 8 Euro. Worth a stop!

This was a quality restaurant that served quality food. We had a very nice table for four overlooking the ocean. We had the tuna and marlin skewers and they were great with nice fresh fish. the presentation was also very nice. The staff was pleasant and worked with our language barrier. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was a bit more upscale for the area

Le Natural is not too far from the main road, a little outside the center of Pointe Noire. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. They were busy but we found a table. It was raining hard so we were glad to wait to put in our order. The waitress encouraged us to help ourselves to the rum table. You can blend a planteurs--fruit juice and rum, or mix a ti punch--muddled limes, sugar, and rum. Either one will put your happy face on before your meal. We ordered grilled fish and chicken columbo from the 25 ⬠menu. They came with a selection of appetizers. We picked the creole assiette and the poisson salade. Both were large enough for a meal in themselves. The accras, local fritters made with fish, dough, and spices, were light and deliciously crunchy. The boudin, a blood sausage, that came with the assiette was so-so. This may be an acquired taste. Our entrees were huge, easily enough for two or three people each. Taste-wise I'd classify them as okay. The service was slow but polite and friendly. The ambience was good. The owners keep an aviary near the entrance filled with parakeets, cockatiels, and finches. They are a merry lot and they attract a local bunch of bananaquits that fly through the open dining area--pretty and au natural.

The owner of this restaurant, Leonce, is a real character. The menu is very limited, sometimes at dinner just a couple of choices that he tells you. Some food comes from his own house, like the cabri (young goat) and boudin (pork blood sausage). The lambi (conch) is locally fished. There is usually grilled chicken or fish for the offer adventurous, both locally sourced and fresh. Try his house punch! We stayed nearby and are here three times. Note Leonce speaks no English!

Eight of us had a variety of seafood and other appetizers and meals, and all were excellent. Fried snappers and goat curries were among our favourite main dishes, and conch and crab cakes were favourite appetizers. We had to find the recipe for their Sauce Chien when we returned.

We ate here twice during our week on Basse Terre. First of all, they open at 6pm, and after hiking all day, I'm hungry so we like to eat fairly early. The food is very good, the staff friendly and a very nice outdoor patio with a sea view. I had fish one time and mussels the other. My husband tried both the chicken and ribs. you can get potatoes or veggies (or both) as sides. I would recommend this place.Hi Yogiglo !Thanks a lot for your recommandation !We're glad that you enjoyed your meal (twice!)See you soon !From all the team AN BA TOL LA
