This traditionally Cuban Restaurant was founded in Miami 30 years ago. Now in the hands of new ownership, the restaurant has taken a new , bold direction. Bigger place, diversified menu, traditional foods with a twist to market to the Anglo population and the healthy food conscious consumer. Nice cozy bar, great selection of Empanadas and Croquetas, nicely decorated and a great walk-in, outdoor window for a quick âCafecitoâ and a snack!Good food, spacious well decorated ambiance while maintaining established Cuban culinary traditions!

We were visiting this area and went twice in one week it was so good. They are also great with food allergies as most dishes don't have nuts, dairy, eggs, or seeds. The food is made the old fashioned way without crazy or extra ingredients. Can't wait to visit again!

An institution in South Florida since I was a kid. From the original on 8th Street to this one in Miramar, the food has never wavered. You'll get the same quality of traditional Cuban this establishment. Cheap, plentiful, and delicious. One can never fo wrong with La Carreta.

This is my go-to restaurant! I go several times a month and make it a point to bring my friends and family whenever they are in town visiting. Everything on the menu is delicious but if I had to recommend something it would be the churrasco and the champignon chicken. The service is always good, the atmosphere is nice and there is never a wait. I also like the yummy mojitos which come in many flavors. Try it, you won't regret it.

This is one of our regular places to eat. We've been coming here about 10 years and are never disappointed. The 2/$25 dishes come with an appetizer or desert. Our favorites are the shrimp Creole, roast pork, and fried fish.My wife also lives the Mofongo, a Puerto Rican dish.If you have room the cafe con leche is to die for.All of the staff are regulars, and are very courteous. Carla is a Jennifer Lawrence look alike, she's very sweet.

Great food, service, and music. Outside of restaurant is likely frequent by stray male cats. The foul, musky smell of cat urine is evident as you approach the door.Hi ShaNiKa T - as many high points as you mentioned, it is hard to overlook the unpleasant odor just prior to entering the restaurant. We offer our sincere apologies and will be making this an area of focus with the hopes of completely wow'ing you completely next time. My email address is below should you wish to discuss your visit in further detail.Best Regards,Shari [email protected]

Havana 1957 is a Cuban restaurant that sets itself apart by creating a unique dining experience that allows you to relive the glory and glamour of old Cuba during the 1950s.
Christmas Eve dinner, a Cuban family tradition, however this year my wife and I were alone. Not sad but content that all of our family are well with own plans to do and traveling abroad.Well my wife and I decided to go and try Havana 1957 in Pembroke Gardens, Honestly, I thought we would end up at McDonald, since it was late and we did not have a reservation. The restaurant was packed but mostly large groups so to our amazement, we were promptly seated in a table for two with amazing very comfortable chairs and close but not to close to the live band.I told my wife, well now we probably have to wait to get served as everybody is very busy, Wrong again! A very nice , very friendly and with a fantastic smile young lady by the name of Jessica came over to our table, introduced her self as our waitress.Within a very short time we were having amazing Mojitos and enjoying the fantastic music from the band. This place was amazing, the family atmosphere and happy ambiance was so present it made us feel just like our traditional Christmas dinner at home. Then the best part came, even though you could order "a la cart", they had a very special menu for the occasion. It started with Tostone rellenos with vaca frita and special alioli, criole soup, an the main course lechon asado! with congri and yuca.I would love to describe each amazing well prepared and presented plate but it would be to long.I would only say this; the tostones were fantastic, well cooked and presented, the soup was a vegetable base "sopa criolla" with a taste out of this world. The roast pork, "lechon asasdo", I have to say it was one of the best if not the best I have ever had and I tell you, I've had plenty, as it is my favorite. I don't usually eat congri, "mixed rice and black beans" as I find it to dry and hard in most restaurants. However, here it was perfect, moist, flavorful and complimented with the super soft yuca con mojo. For dessert they brought us an amazing Flan of fantastic texture and taste served with cream and last our perfect dinner was only to be finished with Cuban coffee, a feast for a Cuban god.The cost was very moderate, with several Mojitos our dinner and tip, $110.00.Well with that said, the thing that impressed me more was the whole restaurant operation, and super service. Even though it was full on the special occasion, the staff operated like a fine tune machine under the watchful eyes of the manager, who was also very pleasant and came to our table several times. With an even pace from all of the staff, all clients served in time. Quality food, drinks and great service accompanied fantastic music made this Christmas Eve dinner, a very memorable occasion. Most of all, all employees were smiling very pleasant and seemed like they were also enjoying the occasion like we did. They are having a celebration for the 31st, New year and we will be there. It is family oriented, easy to get to, great value and super quality.I strongly recommend Havana 1957 Pembroke Pines. Thank you for that great evening.Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us Jose. It means a lot to us that your Christmas Eve dinner with us was excellent. At Havana 1957 we take great pride in making sure that our customers not only love our dishes, but also the service and atmosphere, which in turn makes them want to return. We hope to see you again soon!

Dined on a Tuesday. Pretty busy for mid week. Started with shrimp and pineapple tostones which were very good. Mojitos are also tasty. Had the vaca frita - shredded beef with onions with mojo rice and plantains. Meat and rice were flavorful. Plantains perfectly sweet. Table also had shrimp paella, needed a bit more heat and spice. Fried whole red snapper was also good. Venue has old Cuban flare inside and out. Lots of items to choose from and try. Worth the trip.
