I cannot say enough great things about Alvin and Friends - from owner Alvin Clayton's friendly presence in greeting every table, to the terrific live jazz music during Sunday brunch, to the delicious Caribbean/Southern cuisine. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our brunch, and very much plan to visit again. This is hands down the best restaurant in New Rochelle. Thanks so much! We truly appreciate your kind words and we hope you'll visit again soon.

Recently opened. And reasonably priced and delicious.
While we will frequently order the chuleta's with black beans and rice with sweet plaintains, what i really love about this place is the empanadas. Being Puerto Rican there are many times when i know my guest would love an empanada as an appetizer or as an item on a buffet, but who wants to make empanadas for a large crowd. So for my daughters bridal shower and the get away brunch after the wedding I ordered them from Casa Cubana. Even locals who live in Mt. Vernon had not heard of this little gem. The one draw back is that it is physically pretty small, so we usually do take out when we are getting dinner. Go, you will be surprised to see such good food coming out of what looks like a little pizzeria.
Came here with my family to celebrate my sister's birthday. We heart it a wide variety of food. Everyone's meal was well-prepared and no complaints for lack of flavor. The desserts were amazing (Johnny's cheesecakes). This is a definite must do for me and my family again
