We came here one afternoon for a break from heat, and it was like entering a small, empty nightclub - dark with neon lighting and loud music! The AC was strong, as we sat down we were offered complimentary cold towels, dried fruit and a refreshing drink. The service was good, polite and attentive. There's a very extensive cocktail list - the ones we had were pretty good but expensive at CUC4-5 each. They also serve light snacks but we didn't try them. There's a bathroom for customers.Dear costumer.I would like to thank you on behalf Bistro Kuba Bar-Café staff for your comment. We are very carefully studying all proposals to take all necessary.Once again, thanks for your invaluable review on Bistro Kuba Bar-Café and for recommending us to friends and family. We all look forward to welcoming you once again.Sincerely,The Public Relations & Management TeamPequeños Suarez

I had several meals at this restaurant, which I really like. I preferred to eat outside, but if you don't mind freezing you can sit inside as well. Food is comida criolla, but more refined and the pina colada is delicious. On weekends they often have a singer and entertainment, but it's not a dancing place.

This open-bar restaurant, set on the second floor and overlooking the Bay of Pigs, offers only a limited seafood menu. But the execution is good, the setting is lovely, and the service is decent. It's a lovely spot for a meal by the water.Thank you for sharing your opinion, Sedgwall. When you like, it will be a pleasure to welcome you again. See you soon!!!

Excellent friendly staff and great service, this was good value food very popular with the local Cubans. Pasta and pizza were plentiful as well as more traditional pork, chicken and fish dishes. Four or five house specials like squid, beef and lobster were also availble. A large variety of cocktails and drinks including wine were all reasonably priced. Plantain tacos with tuna and cheese were a large starter, and the grilled fish main was excellent with black rice and a fresh seasonal salad, With Buccaneros it was less than 15 cuc. Definitely good value and a pleasant air conditioned resaturant with a rooftop teraace for smokers. Like most Cuban places local artwork was in abundance and a talented local singer with guitar pleasantly entertained, unobtrusively throughout the night. Well worth a visit

Only one of its kind in the city, natural paradise where you can taste the most delicious Cuban cocktails and tapas and typical Cuban and foreign dish. A place where you always want to go back
You'll find this place ⦠it is loud! Why? Because the band is practicing / playing! On a Sunday afternoon, visit the backyard; revel in the sun and the birds; drink a Cuba Libré, and listen to Orquestra Juvenil Swing Cubano!!These teenagers do NOT have all of the "luxuries" of their counterparts in the U.S. or Europe ⦠if their clarinet reeds / guitar strings / drumsticks break, they have to "make do." But what they lack in easily accessible replacements, they more than make up in enthusiasm, ability, desire, and sheer fun.The director at the local high school has put together a group of performers who enjoy swing music of the '30s and '40s ⦠they play with varying levels of ability ⦠somewhere between a "B" and an "A+", and they haven't yet gotten to the skill of riffing easily (the director will help them), but their technical skill is very good. They are learning how to be performers on stage, and doing well. There is a young clarinet player ⦠she appears to be about 15 ⦠give her a few more years ⦠she actually gave a passible imitation of Benny Goodman in "Sing, Sing, Sing."

Spent an evening in Matanzas, went to this restaurant and it was absolutely delicious! From the drinks, appetizers, and entrees. Everything was perfect. Portion sizes were unreal for the price, would certainly go back and recommend this place to friends.

We stopped in here for lunch while touring the lovely city of Matanzas. My husband had a delicious sandwich and our guide also enjoyed his chicken sandwich. But for me - the wonderful fruit salad was the best. In fact, I so enjoyed the fresh cut up fruit, after finishing mine, I ordered one for them to enjoy. This is a pleasure not to be missed!

Restaurant of Cuban and International Food on the shores of the beautiful Bay of Matanzas
Visited this reataurant during our stay in Varadero and Matanzas. Very nice staff, friendly and sensitive to orders. Tried the local starters - seviche and seafood salad. For main course took seafood an paella. Tasty fresh juices and desserts. Would recommend for visiting.

My girlfriends and I stayed in a casa in Matanzas and were told by many Cubans to go visit Bukan. We were blessed to have the opportunity to stay in Matanzas for 20 days. On our last night we decided to finally make our way to the cutest little restaurante that was on the top floor of a house. We walk up and the lovely Migeul said that he will call his manager and try to fit us in as it was typically a reservation only type place. He fit us in right away and we walk up a sit of stairs to the most beautiful and modern restaurant I've seen in a while. All of the staff, especially Samuel!, was beyond attentive and so nice! We were the only non Cubans in the place and there wasnt a lot of English speaking people but as I know some spanish I was able to find out what the favorite dishes were and we had the most delicious meal! I would 100% recommend this place!

The attention that we received from the waitress was great, but the food wasn't good. The salad had bugs and the rice was regular, without taste, even though the fish was pretty acceptable. The decoration of the dishes was nice. Drinks were almost perfect! We want to thank you for your positive comment about our restaurant, we try to offer a service that allows customers to enjoy the courtesy that characterizes Cubans since knowing Cuba is one of the reasons why they visit our island.SincerelyPublic Relations and Administration TeamAmelia del Mar
