First time solo dining here. Ordered the tamale and chicken breast. Wow, a lot of food. The tamale is giant loaded with pork, masa & onions. A meal in itself. The grilled chicken breast with sautéed onions was good, but the tamale was great. Add the plantains, rice & black beans were all good. Too much food, so the to go made it 3 meals. Service was pleasant as he went out of his way to allow me to try another dish. Everything was good, oh did I mention the tamale was great. Prices on par. Would definitely return.

Hole in the wall. Limited seating. Jamaican theme wall decorations. The owner was working the counter when I strolled in for lunch. I ordered the jerk pork, which came with a side of rice with beans and a small salad of fresh ingredients. Very tasty pork. The owner will adjust the hot spiciness to suit you. Reasonable prices. Excellent service and value.

I knew that this place was going to be good when we arrived. As we were outside waiting to be seated, I noticed that no one in the restaurant had a tan. This was a local's joint for the most part. There is a regular menu as well as daily specials which are put up on a chalkboard, and erased as they sell out. We were a group of 11 people, and so we were able to try many dishes. As appetizers we had the clam chowder, conch fritters, stamp & go fish cakes, calamari, and clams casino. For our mains we had fish & chips, tuna steak, fried shrimp, jerked pork, & the stuffed shrimp. Everything was very good. The service was fast & friendly. You definitely need to visit this hidden gem if you're in Pompano beach. It's even worth the drive if you're staying in Fort Lauderdale.
