Reviews on Caribbean food in Bayahibe, La Altagracia Province, Caribbean. Just 10 miles east of La Romana lies the fishing town of Bayahibe. Here, divers will find spectacular coral formations and three shipwrecks: the Atlantic Princess, St George and Coco. In the national park, nature enthusiasts will find lagoons and wildlife, including a variety of birds. There is much to do, but the inviting, soft white-sand beaches are perfect for travelers seeking relaxation.

Came to El Patio on recommendation from our taxi driver. This place is quaint and rather romantic right off the water. Awesome ambiance. Drinks were good (try the Mai Tai) and food was fresh and delicious. I had lobster and shrimp. Very reasonably priced. The chef personally came out to greet us and that meant a lot to me. There were 5 of us; we all ordered different things from the menu and no one was disappointed. I will say we waited quite awhile for dinner (maybe 45 min or so) but it was well worth the wait. If you want a change from the same old resort food, try this place.

We got caught in the rain and this cafe was recommended by the local grocer. We ducked in and loved our experience while we waited out the rain. We would highly recommend that anyone visit this cafe!

It's a nice decorated small restaurant with lots of pictures. Main dishes for a reasonable price, but poor attention. When we entered the restaurant, the lady who's in charge of it opened her arms to embrace us. But after this warm welcome, she left the restaurant within a few minutes after we ordered lambi for diner. When we finished our diner and asked for the bill she entered the restaurant and tried to charge even more! A bit disappointed we left!

First at all, if you want to use the pools, you have to pay a 40 dolars Fee each one. I dont understand, because if you are going to eat or drink, it should be included. It is normal place, food is ok, drinks in the Pool área are served in plástic glasses, this place not the great thing. In our group only two of us wanted to use the Pool area, so we paid for them 80 dolars. When we were there, waiting in the Pool área, having drinks, an waitress came to us telling that we had to pay for being seated there. We were in shock! First, because the girl was not nice to us. Second because they did not say that in the entrance, when we paid the 80 fee. It is my first and last time. Service was not great, we had to wait a Long time for a waiter. I think that for the price you pay, it has to be an unforgettable experience. I prefer so much Boca Marina or Neptunoâs.

Maybe this place was overwhelmed by the busy holiday season, but we had a bad experience here. The manager is not very friendly. We had a reservation, and were seated immediately, but waited a long time for our food to come out. Generally felt neglected. And the food was some of the worst we had in the area. The Italian restaurants in Dominicus are far and away better.

Gigi and Sylvie are the most gracious hosts and make you feel like you are invited into their home for dinner. It starts with introductions around the room, then a wonderful mixed drink. The dinner begins with grilled fish, followed by lobster, potatoes with a fabulous garlic butter cream sauce. The dessert is a grilled banana with banana liqueur and then offerings of rum, chocolate or coffee liqueur. The food was fantastic, the hosts the absolute best and a totally wonderful and unique experience!
