Whenever we go to coyotes, the food is always quick, hot and large portions. A good value for your buck. Their steak meals come with generous side servings. I like that you can order all-day breakfast. Their menu is large which is good when going with a large group of people with different tastes. The service has been perfect each and every time I've gone. The owner Ed, is very friendly and makes you feel at home. You can tell he takes pride in his work.

Was so great to be back to this historic place in Old Town Yellowknife looking out to the water and all the float planes! Now under the new management of the legendary Bullock's. The menu was great ! Tremendous variety - steak, Arctic Char, hamburgers... but I couldn't resist the memories of the terrific fish and chips.. and it didn't disappoint.... our table enjoyed a pitcher of the local Honey Bucket ale too! Service was really great and everyone truly friendly.... lotsa locals!

Yellowknifeâs hidden gem. A great wine selection, beer and cocktails, paired with Yellowknife's finest cuisine. New summer sidewalk terrace with southern exposure = sun all day and night. An early bird? Join us on Sunday's for a bottomless brunch like no
Based on the restaurants that I enjoyed in Yellowknife, I would consider Thornton's to be more upscale that most of the others I visited. It doesn't look like much from the outside but it had that feeling inside with the low lights and decor. I ordered the blackened whitefish with garlic mashed potatoes and fennel salad....it was all very delicious and well seasoned. The wine selection was great. Service was outstanding. The only downfall was dessert...I ordered a pavlova and it was hard as a rock and lacked flavour....the fresh fruit on top was nice but the pavlova itself was horrible I'm sorry to say so it was a big letdown after an amazing meal. Nice touch to be given a wrapped chocolate mint to end the experience though. I would go back...but just order a different dessert.

We ate breakfast three times at Traders Grill, twice in the restaurant and once through room service. The food was good but it seems to be very poorly organized. The first day we arrived at about 10:25. All the signs said breakfast went through 11. My wife ordered the buffet and went through the line. No one said anything. At 10:30, just as my wife sat down, our server came and said the buffet shuts down at 10:30 and they should not have let us order it. We pointed out the book in the room says breakfast goes through 11. She insisted the buffet always closes at 10:30. Since my wife had just sat down, she did not want to go back. I had the bagel and lox, which was OK, but not great. The second day we went at 9:30 and everything was fine. Since they don't open until 8 am on Saturday and our shuttle was leaving at 8am, we ordered room service to be delivered at 7:15 to 7:30. It finally came at 7:45 and my wife's granola yogurt parfait was missing. There was a bowl of yogurt instead. We pointed out the problem and the server left to get the right breakfast. She came back 10 minutes later with another bowl of yogurt, no granola and no fruit. The server insisted that was the granola yogurt parfait. Since we had to go, my wife ate the yogurt. We ended up paying $14 for a $6 bowl of yogurt. Our shuttle was leaving so there was no chance to correct it. All in all, I would not recommend it for breakfast.

Very laid back at this pub but the food is good and the beer cold. Not fancy but the staff and clientele are nice folks.

Stop by Bullock's Bistro in Yellowknife to try delicious platter fish and chips tonight and find out for yourself why Reader's Digest voted them #1 in Canada.
My wife and I recently had our 4pm meal. Had to wait over 1 hr. At 4 pm? Best home cooked meal ever. The atmosphere felt like we were home and among friends. Little bit pricey but then there's AW close by. My first time Buffalo ribeye was mouth watering and my wife's grilled Arctic char was lots better than other seafood places. Big portions too.

Enjoy the ambiance of Old Yellowknife. In summer, dine outside on Yellowknife Bay under the midnight sun. In winter, inside, while checking out the Northern Lights. We are licensed, offer premium coffees & desserts, breakfast, lunch and supper. Open Tuesd
Decent lunch. Nice atmosphere on lake. We were a small group and restaurant was not crowded. Waitress was friendly but merely took our order and bring our food. Water glass not refilled. Finally had to ask when the bill came. Finally, one of the people at our table got up and got the pitcher and refilled everyone's water glass.

This place deserve all the good reviews; have a nice ambience, the food was excellent and flavourful (local ingredients too!) the beer is extraordinary and the service usually is fabulous too. Some waitress are better than other and the owner is a tad stressed when helping the tables... so chill man! I went 4 times during my weeks in Yellowknife and definitely I'll be back there anytime if I'm visiting again.
