Quickly taken to our table with the menus coming right behind!Drink order was given and promptly brought to the table. We placed our food orders and the meals came very quickly. The fish and chips were great as was the clubhouse sandwich! The chicken curry was curry only in colour! The meal looked and tasted like SOUP! The waitress told me it would have a sharp curry taste. There was NO curry taste! I had to use a soup spoon to try and eat some of the meal. It was not enjoyable to eat that way! I should have complained about the worst curry I have ever eaten in a restaurant or anywhere!! I took the majority of the meal home. Much later in the evening, the liquid was absorbed by the rice and made it more pliable! So two people really enjoyed their meals while I lucked out at the restaurant food wise!!!

Went for dinner last Thursday. We were seated promptly. Very nice server. Brought us water right away. Took our drink order and drinks were delivered quickly. Our food order was taken after our drinks were served. There were quite a few empty tables in the restaurant. There was one table of 8. Appeared to be plenty of servers. Our order took a very long time to be served. Then one of the orders wasnât cooked thoroughly. Had to be returned to the kitchen. It appeared that the kitchen had trouble getting the orders out within a reasonable amount of time. Our server told us the large table was holding things up in the kitchen. I believe the kitchen needs to be more organized. Food was good but kitchen slow.Hi, I just read your review of my sandwich shop No Quarter Deli & Market. I think you may have been making a review of a different business. we don't have waiters, no table service or a dinning room. it is a small shop with a window rail and 3 small tables for two, we could never fit 8 people at the same table. Our sandwiches are prepared at the service counter and all orders are served in take away containers. there is no kitchen, no hot meal and we do not offer any kind of dinning experience. please revisit this review and feel free to drop by No Quarter and let me know what you think of our sandwiches and grocery items. i welcome your future review of No Quarter but please address this review to the proper recipient.

This is a cafe at best. As this is located on the wharf I assume it captures cruise ship people. There is very little originality with the menu. Our waitress was fabulous. Very helpful and informative. Sadly our meals took 90 minutes to arrive. Clearly a mix up in the kitchen. The food was over cooked and bland. We were offered dessert to compensate the meal disaster and as generous as this was, the desserts were stale and tasteless. This place is a tourist trap.

Local Seasonal Products, Seafood, Steaks, Pastas, Vegetarian and Gluten Free ..And much more We love your children and have created special menus for them as well. Fully licensed with a lounge and patio. Located in the Membertou Trade & Convention Centre.
Following our 12-hour drive, we opted to eat here after checking into our hotel. This restaurant is in the Membertou Convention Center and is attached to the Hampton Inn by a sky walk. Because of this convenience, we ate here twice while staying in Sydney. Both times our experiences were similar. The dishes we ordered ranged from average to pretty good. Both time they were out of the local beer I wanted to try. I've had better fish and chips, But the fish was fresh, just a little greasy. The Caesar Salad was very good. I would say it's a good value. My wife had the Chicken Alfredo and said it was very good. But both nights, there did not seem to be enough wait staff. The first time we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated, even though there were lots of tables available. They did not seem to employ a host/hostess, but relied on the wait staff to seat you. They also seemed responsible for busing the tables as well. But again, we went there a second time. Sydney doesn't appear to have a lot of good restaurant options.

We stopped in here during a walk around the downtown area in Sydney. We split a plate of Nachos (there was soooo much melted cheese -yum!) and each had a draft.Staff was friendly and chatty and the food (nachos) was served hot and was a large portion full of toppings. Very large building with seating both inside and outside on a patio deck.5/5

We ordered a medium pizza for takeout on the way to our hotel as we were hungry after the drive from Halifax. We asked for black olives, green peppers and mushrooms. It was larger and more expensive than I predicted. Hard to tell since the pizza prices are not on their website. It tasted good, filled the bill and it lasted three days, and we ate the whole pizza! It looked like the pizza in the photo.

Ate at this restaurant recently with my daughter and mom whilst on a family vacation. I had the lobster mac and cheese and it was soooo good! Garlic and lobster served in a cream sauce gratinee to perfection with two nice pieces of toasted garlic bread. My mom had the bed tenderloin cooked medium. She liked it very much! My daughter had the fries with chicken nuggets off the kid's menu. Very tasty. The wine selection was ok, they could have had more than 1 wine in the reds and whites from Nova Scotia. Service was friendly and on point. I would eat here again

I made a reservation on open table for 2 at 1130 and arrived 10 minutes later but was told that our table was given away! Adam, the host/server offered us a free drink while we waited for a table to become available, but that, too, never came. When I mentioned it to him, he said he came by where we were standing but I was looking on my phone. I guess he could have tried to get my attention but apparently he really wasn't interested in giving away a free drink so didn't bother to say anything and walked away. Adam was not a gracious host and made a poor impression for me regarding the service in Sydney, Canada.I believe Governor's Pub gets many reviews and a high ranking because of their close proximity to the cruise port. If this restaurant had a different location, I highly doubt it can attain its high ranking on TripAdvisor.

casual bistro featuring Canadian dishes inspired by the Mediterranean, featuring pasta, sammies, seafood, vegetarian.
Parking in front is limited. We were seated right away, there ate booths and tables. I ordered a shwarma sammie. The pita was foode service grade and nothing special. Overall it was somewhat bland on the flavor sideService was solid and efficient.
