I think people generally have pretty low expectations when going for âChineseâ food, like North American Chinese food I mean. Deep fried questionable bits of meat in syrups... well lower them a little further. This Chinese food was poor. Meat was dry and tough, dumplings really doughy.I didnât one star it because I always feel for family run businesses and the people were nice enough. Also, the restaurant itself needs a MASSIVE overhaul. It was very unappealing and unclean looking. I unfortunately will not be eating here again.

If you want a place to relax with the adults and have a great meal Swamp Donkey's is your place!!! Make sure your kids aren't with you as it is a pub. The atmosphere is great!!!
Wouldn't take much of a stretch to see this place in a movie representing a small western town. Lots of locals in to eat, dressed as only locals in small towns dress. Friendly too.My food was good (steak sandwich). Meat cooked as requested and an excellent potato and garlic toast. My other half did not like the fish and chips. Said the fish was tasteless and had to pile on the lemon.Thank you, Theresa for being so nice. Spent $30 for two for dinner.

All I can say is: triple bacon mushroom Swiss. Unreal every time. Always worth the wait. You know its cooked for you each time. Looking forward to next week's...
This place has a great deli. It also has excellent Reuben sandwiches and the best pulled pork in town.

My husband, daughter and son-in-law took a drive into the country and ended up in Sundre for lunch. a friend had eaten here and recommended. We were not disappointed at quality and taste. However a little extra $$ for the ales was a surprise. I had the Taco Trio which was absolutely delicious after sharing the deep fried wontons filled with buffalo chicken and blue cheese dip. Husband had club and was very pleased. Daughter had pulled turkey and thoroughly enjoyed. But the most surprising was the son-in-law who is a good cook and is VP Operations for 4 pubs said he really liked his burger. We have NEVER heard that before. Service was excellent. We sat on patio at back which is a bit of a let down looking at the alley. I recommend they get some murals or pictures on to their back wall and then it won't be so noticeable. inside decor was wood and steel but tasteful.

While driving through the pleasant town of Sundre (a place of c.3000 in the foothills of Alberta's Rocky Mountains) I had to stop for an early supper. Looking around town, the choices seemed to be either rough-and-ready bars/saloons, or fast-food places. I did a Google search and came up with Original T's, so I chose it and it was quite satisfying. It's on Main Avenue, the principal thoroughfare through town, so was easy to find. The restaurant has a pleasing modern exterior, with a peaked entryway supported by two thick concrete columns, and an open-air patio off to the side. Inside, there's multi-level seating, with a pleasant-looking sharp, geometric black-and-white fabric design on the comfortable seats.A look at the menu showed that the restaurant is well known for its pizzas, but I was in the mood for something more substantial. On the menu, I liked the addition of a fairly large Seniors' Menu offering smaller portions, but instead I ordered from the regular menu---veal cutlets with potatoes and corn. For $17 I got a plate with two large, tender cutlets covered with a thick brown gravy (I thought a tomato sauce would have been less heavy), whipped garlic potatoes, and corn kernels. The corn was tender and juicy (I don't think from a can), and the potatoes looked as if they had been piped out onto the plate in a sort of rose shape. They had pieces of the red skin still in them, but were a bit too heavy/starchy tasting for my liking. A couple of small and sweet Peruvian red cherry peppers were added as a garnish and gave a nice bite to the rest of the generally bland taste of the meal.I also had, to start, their featured soup which was tomato and cabbage. It came in an attractive square bowl and was tasty, but not as thick with cabbage pieces as I had hoped. All in all, it was a simple and satisfying meal, with some home-made touches---and it filled my stomach. Original T's would be the place to return to when I'm in Sundre again.

As in most small towns, the selection of restaurants tends toward fast and greasy. But Piros was just what we were looking for. It looks like it underwent a recent renovation and is very clean and modern and open. There were 2 lunch specials and 2 homemade soup of the day choices. The menu is extremely extensive which always worries me - how can a small restaurant make so many different meals from scratch. But a BLT with the beef cabbage soup and a veggie wrap were just what we wanted and were very tasty. Lots of locals were in for lunch which is always a good sign. Plenty of street parking adjacent to Main St. Worth a stop in.
