Part of Colonial Motel. Best breakfast in Port Elgin. Clean, food tastes great, basics for breakfast and lunch. Had steak & eggs with home fries & rye plus coffee, all perfect. Nice staff. There are beautiful quilts for sale and the adjacent motel has ant
Certainly donât understand what others see about this place for breakfast! I guess they just donât venture out too far to try other fantastic places for breakfast. One order was a cheddar cheese omelette (on the cold side) with 2 slices of toast, I have never seen such a flat omelette; it was even flatter than a super thin pancake; oh yes, coffee was NOT included had to pay extra on this meal. The other was their sunrise special, definitely better looking than the omelette! This meal consisted of 2 eggs (your choice) 4 slices of bacon, 2 slices of toast, and very few home fries which were on the cold side; but coffee was included on this selection. The service wasnât a warm, pleasant feeling, more like ....I had to come into work this morning, and I am here. Donât think we will be rushing back here, would prefer to drive elsewhere for a more satisfying breakfast to start our day.

Took the family here today after the Labour Day parade for some lunch. I must give credit where credit is due; the service is excellent. Both the owner and waitress were kind and very attentive. The food was good all around and the price was very reasonable.Hi, Paul! Thank you so much for the positive review! We are glad to see that you enjoyed your visit! We hope the next time you come we can provide you with a 5-star experience! See you and your family again soon!

A bustling place on the weekend we visited and it soon became clear why. Very good traditional breakfast fare and friendly and efficient service. Located on the main street , with lots of parking in the area, weâll add it to our list of favourite breakfast places.

Service was poor and off-hand - so off-hand! Waitress forgot my cole slaw and ended up having to go up to the counter to demand it - got it in a small container and brought it home! Quesadillas - fine. Strawberry pizza - fine. Fish and chips - very good. Music too loud - maybe to distract from poor service. Caters too much to the young.

Ordered our food. Excited as it sounded so good. Sat down to wait. Soon realized that all 3 tables occupied had their food. Smoothie had not even arrived. Patiently waited. Staff standing around & we could see they were washing dishes in kitchen. Went up to check. They had lost our order. Even the person who took our order had no recollection of taking it. Not even busy time of day. No real apology. Offered to take order & start over. We decided to get refund & leave. So spent 40 minutes there & left without having lunch.Hi There, I am so sorry you had a bad experience in the Pea Pod and left without your meals. I am truly disappointed that this happened. I would like to offer you and your family a free meal with wonderful service. This is not a usual thing to happen in our shop and I hope you can give us a second chance. If you choose to do so, I will gladly and personally bring you your food at absolutely no charge.

Have been here a few times and always enjoy a delicious meal. Many daily specials to choose from - Mondayâs are popular with all-you-can-eat perogies. Portions are generous, serving staff fast & courteous. They have a great selection of beer, cider, coolers, etc. Will be back again as we have family living in Port Elgin.

we thought we would try this place out for lunch, I had the classic burger and my wife had the sliders," 3 mini burger choices" my classic burger was juicy but just a tad under cooked, the double smoked bacon I asked for was over powering though, but our beer's were good, fries were great, and our server was exceptional. a must try out establishment, and like always you decide, cheers

We were looking to escape the heat and humidity, and decided to go here based on reviews. They were very accurate! Upscale look and feel, loved the apps and meals (smoked rabbit and chicken pesto pastas). Fantastic Caesar salad (no really!). Decent wine selection. Creme Brûlée (with hint of basil) was terrific. Piano player started at 6pm, a nice and unexpected touch for a Saturday night. Yes, itâs on the pricey side, but worth it if youâre looking for great ambiance and food. Our new fav in Port Elgin - we will be back.

While touring some visiting family members around the Bruce Peninsula, we stopped in Port Elgin for lunch and went into the Fireside Grill. This was a big mistake. The food was regular pub fare which we might have anticipated and probably would have accepted BUT the service was most unprofessional and ruined what might have been an agreeable lunch. We ordered two glasses of domestic, Cowbell, beer ( on tap). It took a while to receive them and the waitress did say that it had taken so long because they were changing the keg. Each glass looked different to the other and neither was the clear beer that was expected. It was cloudy and bitter and flat. When the beer was tasted, it was clearly the dregs of a keg or the top of a new keg. It should not have served to customers. The waitress was informed that it was not to our liking and she began arguing that it was always that way with craft beer. A seventy year old man who has been drinking beer for half a century should be able to make a judgment based on years of experience. Two glasses of Millerâs Light were ordered. This waitress was clearly angry and stomped to the bar repeating the story to the gentleman there and saying she was DONE.Later she, and another waitress, spent time sitting at the bar talking about their personal lives in very loud voices. What about the dining experience of the customers? It was not pleasant.

If you're in the mood for delicious fish and chips, stop by Lord Elgin Restaurant in Port Elgin. Our restaurant specializes in hand-cut halibut and fresh-cut fries. Drop by today to sample our menu. Please check our website link for our updated menu
Highly recommend this Fish&Chips restaurant. However as selection is very limited to fish and chips for vegetarians, also as fish and potatoes are fried you take a lot of calories. However the fish and fried are really tasty and cross! Good service even when restaurant is crowded! Thereâs one menu of the whichâs very affordable. Normally prices are little higher on the menu.
