I wish you guys would consider using less single use plastics and all that styrofoam. In this day and age everyone needs to do their part. The salad bar is well stocked just about every time we go. I must mention that the cucumber salad tasted fermented the last couple times weâve been in and as much as I like cucumbers I will be avoiding it from now on. The fish is always tasty and the fries upgraded into poutine are great. Staff turnover here seems to be huge. A new face every time we are in. This leads to problems pretty much every time we are here. From missing buns, missing condiments, to being charged extra. Itâs frustrating that the experience is different and difficult every time. However, the good food keeps us coming back.

Weâve been fans of the Shed Pizzeria in Port Dover for a long time. I finally figured I should review it. What is exceptional about the Shed pizza is their sauce and their toppings. The sauce is delicious and the toppings are fresh. We always order the Shed Special which comes with pepperoni, green pepper, mushrooms, ham and real bacon. In fact, the toppings are so fresh they actually make the centre of the crust soggy. So, as I learned a long time ago, to soak up any grease or other moisture, we asked them to place a golf ball sized piece of dough in the middle of the pizza while cooking and leave it there until removed by the customer. And presto, no more soggy crust, just delicious fresh tasting sauce and toppings. In our opinion itâs the best pizza around. Weâre devoted fans.

Stopped by Wednesday afternoon for the roast beef dinner. Amazing beef for great price. Excellent food and great service. All four of us really enjoyed the meal. Very, very busy so get there early. Hours 3 till 6.

We stopped here for dinner on the way to the theatre. The restaurant has seating on the patio overlooking the lake as well as indoor. On a nice evening, we recommend the patio due to the view.I ordered the Pickerel & my wife ordered the perch. Both meals were well prepared and portions were good. I was disappointed as my meal had several small bones which is a no no as it is an easy fish to clean.

Celebrating over 70 years in business! Erie Beach Hotel 19 Walker Street Port Dover, Ontario N0A 1NO
We were here for an early weekday dinner, after taking in the Lighthouse Theater. The Perch was new to us (we are from out of town, with local relatives) -- it is excellently carried out, with nice tables and misters, a great view, sunshades (for sure come on a nice day!) -- and the service was quite good. The menu is similar to downstairs -- go for the casual items such as perch.

Casually contemporary gastropub. Multiple level patios and interior space great bar with TV's, extensive wine selection, 8 draught choices, with a great cocktail and imported spirits list. 211 offers a diverse menu with options of great wings, pizza, kids
We had a great meal at the restaurant along with a couple of imported draft that were perfectly cold and the experience was fantastic, the staff and servers were friendly and welcoming and it has a great location, view and ambiance and all was great until we ordered 2 Margaritas. Someone mistakenly or otherwise directed the bar manager to put pineapple juice in their Margarita's and it is horrendous. We both could not finish the drinks due to the heartburn the acid in the drink induced not to mention that it was the furthest tasting from a Margarita that one could experience. We will go back for the food and beer but never a Margarita again.

Fresh seasonal Italian cuisine with housemade sauces, gelato, fresh pasta and a great selection of beer and wine including local wines on tap!
Called ahead of time for reservations but not needed as not too busy upon our arrival. Had the gnocchi which was delicious. The fried fish bite appetizers were also good. Portions are decent. Service is quick and friendly. Casual attire. Has about 4 tables outside for dining (patio). The place could use a âstop gapâ type of contraption as it is not stroller/wheelchair accessible.

This restaurant is part of the hotel, and is opened to the public. Family Dining, accommodates large groups. Call for reservations.
We weren't terribly impressed. Salad cart is cute, rolled right up to the table. Salads weren't great other than cucumber. Rest were too sweet, kind of 1950's selection including the marshmallow salad. Pickled pumpkin on the relish tray was interesting. Tried the lemon gelatin with horseradish in it ⦠different ⦠only had one piece. Had the perch with mashed potato. Lightly battered fish, not greasy, but no flavour to the batter. Wine was reasonably priced and a decent though short list of availables. Service was very attentive and friendly. Time to move into the 21st century for decor and menu, though.

Since 2011, Schofields has offered Casual Gourmet with a Norfolk Flavour. A recently renovated historical space, art deco inspired with local art work, hardwood floors and a postcard view of downtown Port Dover bring a warm ambiance only matced by the war
My wife and with another couple went her for dinner New Yearâs Eve. Let me tell you very disappointing ! Food was average no really taste or spice. It was also served cold. Service was very unfriendly didnât seem to want to be there. Asked how are dinner was when we were pretty much done. It was busy but itâs a small restaurant and they had 4 servers on so they werenât really run off their feet. Only one bathroom and it was filthy mould on the trim around the floor. I live in the area and will not be returning!

We were looking forward to crepes again since crepe restaurants are quite difficult to find. We took in a show at the Lighthouse Theatre yesterday and followed that by a crepe dinner here. We couldn't have been more pleased with our overall experience from the wait staff (Val) and the food itself. After eating about three quarters of our crepes, we were full and had to share a dessert crepe rather than having one each. It was a little on the higher side in terms of price but the taste soon forgave that.Don't worry - we'll be back!
