Decor: 4Service: 5Presentation: 4Quality: 5Price: $$Very good fish and chips... possibly the best I've had in Greater Lower Mainland. Fries were yummy too. Great friendly service and fair price fornthe food. Try the Haddock fish it's between Halibut and Cod taste. They offer an all you can eat on Mon-Wed... for 11 bucks!!! I will definitely return.

If you like cold beer and pub food this is the place for you. If you want a little history of the area grab a drink and wonder through the pub and read. Service is good but it does take time for the food to come. I had the steak pita wrap. the steak was good but the rest of the filling is limited. I would definitely return because of the ambiance. New Westminister has a neat history which is honoured by this pub.Thank you for your great review, we are happy that you enjoyed your experience with us! We take pride in the level of service and quality our amazing staff provides to our customers. Hope to see you again soon!

Well located between the Skytrain station and buses, great for a quick stop if the bus doesn't come for 20 minutes or so. Came here with a large group a while back, told we were too big for their small place. Good quality beer, but $8 for what one gets for 5-6 at the Paddlewheeler. Prices on menu indicated I should come back to eat later. Friendly service by waitstaff.

The Boathouse was our favourite restaurant. We went every weekend. Over (a considerable) time both the quality of the food and service declined to the point where we didnât wish to visit. Very unfortunate, as the river views were gorgeous from the restaurant. We had been customers for perhaps 3-4 years, and traditionally dine out Saturdays. The gossip (unconfirmed) was that it had become a training facility & hence the reduction in quality.

About a half hour (ok, maybe 45 minutes) walk from the Skytrain station to the west along the boardwalk is this craft brewery. It has great beer and clean washrooms. It is a target/turnaround point for those exploring the area. Go that extra little distance and I'm very sure you'll be glad you did. Quick break before your return trip.

I had the classic spaghetti and meatballs. First bad thing- they put the meat balls under (?!) the spaghetti- hidden away like it's camouflaged. Not exactly helpful when you expect to see the meatballs on top!Second was the spaghetti- very al dente- in fact barely cooked!Third- the meat sauce- I don't know what they put in it but it gave me indigestion for 6 hours. I could still taste it at 7pm! Nice layout- good service but the food- meh... Sorry to sayHi Mark, Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We believe that guest feedback is the greatest tool we have to ensure that we are constantly improving as a concept. We first visited this restaurant when we were visiting New West, in 2015. Now we live here so time for a return visit. The décor is bright, clean and cheerful but nothing above typical chain restaurant décor or atmosphere. The menu has been expanded since our last visit so more options. Our server was friendly and efficient, a genuinely nice person. Even though, there were more options, we all felt we should have fish and chips....halibut for two diners, cod for me. The young person always has chicken fingers. She was favourably impressed and she is a connoisseur of chicken fingers! My cod was far far superior to the much pricier halibut offers. I've had better fish and chips in land locked Ontario. The halibut was overcooked and lacking in flavour. Good fries, though, and ample servings. The coleslaw was excellent; the roll and butter, a complete waste of calories. Overall, this is a reliable place. I can't wait to go back....in four years or so.

Itâs been a number of years since my last visit to Angelinaâs Dutch Corner but theyâve recently moved into a new location at the River Market at the Quay. Iâve got to admit that I like their new digs⦠much more open, airy, and bright compared to their last location. The only bad thing here is that the noise inside the restaurant seems to echo and amplify making for a loud din.On this first revisit, I decided to get The Big Bennie ($17) which comes with bacon, sausage, ham, and turkey bacon along with a generous fruit bowl. For my poached eggs, I asked for medium (they said their medium would be a bit runny in the yolk) and one of the eggs was pretty good with a creamy, slightly runny yolk. But the other egg was slightly overdone. Still, this was a nice benny and the herbed potatoes turned out quite well too. There were so many different types of fruit in the fruit bowl⦠orange, kiwi, mango, strawberry, blueberry, cherry, peach, grape, pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe, watermelon, berriesâ¦.Although Iâm not a vegetarian, I thought Iâd give their Vegetarian Benedict ($15) a try. It comes with spinach, tomato, avocado, havarti and poached eggs. This was actually pretty good and I was surprised that I didnât miss the meat. Again, a solid selection of fruit in the accompanying fruit cup.Okay, so you knew that IT would eventually show up⦠and by âITâ I mean the Big Pannekoek ($18). While youâve probably heard of pannekoek from that other Dutch breakfast joint, you should give the one at Angelina a try. They werenât kidding⦠this is huge. The feather-lite crepe-like pannekoek is topped with an ample supply of meat (yeah, I know I did a complete 180 from the Veggie Benny that I had before) with the likes of ham, bacon, sausage patty, bratwurst, and eggs⦠all served with some hollandaise sauce on the side. Definitely enjoyed the crisp bacon here.Came back on a weekend and ordered the Fully Loaded Hash ($16) and Fresh Fruit French Toast ($17) with some Hot Chocolate. Now, I know that hash is, well, hashed up. But they werenât kidding⦠all of the ingredients in the hash were chopped up so it was difficult to tell what everything was. I guess thatâs the point. But I did really like the edam cheese as well as the sourdough toast.Okay, the thing to know about Angelinaâs is they are quite popular so it always seems busy here. Even on a weekday lunch, service is slow despite how many people they have working here. If youâre coming here on a weekend for breakfast/brunch⦠expect things to be slow⦠like really, really slow. That being said, the food is good and Iâd come back just for the fresh fruit cup the accompanies many of their dishes.Hello,Thank you for the awesome in depth review! I am very glad that you enjoyed our food. As for our wait times, this is something we are working on fixing. We have been trying to fix this issue for a while now and have been making slow but steady progress. So far our weekdays have very reasonable wait times however on weekends we can occasionally get quite backed up. We hope to fix this problem for weekends in the near future. Thank you so much for coming down to Angelina's.
