Bland, slow service. Sat outside and was chilly - it was v difficult to get a reluctant restaurant to move the heater over (2 feet). If not staying in Lake Louise (so captive) would definitely not have eaten there. We had an early dinner a the Poppy Brasserie since the hotel was inundated with bus loads of tourists. Even though the dining room was almost empty we were seated next to the door that opens on to the patio. Every time the door opened a rush of cold air would come in.My husband ordered the tourtiere which he liked although he did have to send back the first attempt since the mashed potatoes were cold. I had steak frites which was good although the plating looked as if the fries and steak had been thrown on.Considering the prices and reputation of the hotel we expected better.Dear Mmarymomm,Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and review on TripAdvisor. Travelling around on motorbikes allows one a great deal of flexibility and the opportunity to find restaurants which one would not normally come across. Going through Lake Louise there is a sign for an old railway station so we decided to go and have a look. It has a restaurant. We decided to eat there. What character! Who couldâve believed that such a place was going to be where it was. Good ambience. Nice service. Decent food. A real historical feel with the biggest chairs Iâve ever sat on in a restaurant. A place worth visiting in itself. One of those nice surprises that makes a holiday special.

We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner here during a one-night stay in Lake Louise and enjoyed all the meals we had. The staff were friendly but the restaurant can get busy due it's decent prices. On our second visit, for dinner, despite our order being taken long before other diners who arrived after us, we had to wait ages for our food and others, who had arrived and ordered way after us were being served there food way before us. I complained and our food came fairly quickly after that, I think our order had been forgotten. The staff were very apologetic and the Japanese waiter even made a little origami frog to say sorry, which was nice. The manager also deducted our drinks from the bill so you cannot ask for better than that. This is a good place to eat while in Lake Louise, with it's very limited options.

This was worth every step. So much better experience than the other one. We were 45 mins up and under 40 down. We were moving. This was such an amazing experience. The tea house has tea, biscuits and is run so well. The climb is steep and keeps going. Wear boots as it will make it easier. You will need to carry changes of clothes as the weather can change to quickly. This climb was our favorite because of the tea house experience.

My wife and I chose this particular restaurant to celebrate our 48th wedding anniversary and it was the right choice. The ambience took in Lake Louise and together with the restaurant setting the experience was one that will last forever.The service and food selection was wonderful and it provided me with the opportunity to enjoy new experiences in food selection. The wagyu beef crudo and the bison ribeye were excellent.Our waiter was professional and had a great sense of humour. My husband & I stayed at this lodge while on a road trip. We decided to make a reservation for dinner since it was getting late when we arrived & there were no other choices. We were completely surprised at the quality of the food. Outstanding! Our server was friendly & attentive. The menu wasn't extensive but there were plenty of choices for all tastes. Nice wine list. Two freshly baked cornbread rolls were served with softened butter. Yum! We ordered the quattro formaggio flatbread for an app. Delicious. Served piping hot & fresh. Our entrees were filet mignon & fettuccine with sundried tomatoes & chicken in a delectable cheesy cream sauce. Both dishes were perfectly cooked. Nice sized portions. No room for dessert but the choices looked incredible. Wonderful gem of a bistro.

we took the gondola to the top and hiked the short distance to the Whithorn Bistro. First we visiting the interpretative center where guides were a wealth of information about the wildlife. It was a rainy day and we went to the bistro for "hot chocolate" Anto was an amazing waiter and we had "adult" apple cider, Baileys coffee and a great visit. a definite don't miss

Since we were unable to secure reservations at a reasonable hour for the prime restaurants at the Fairmont we settled for dinner in the lounge. We had a nice table with a partial view of the lake. As nice as the view was, it could not make up for the dinners we ordered. My husband had the modules frites which he said was average and I had the pappardelle with chicken and vegetables which was terrible. It was as though the pasta had been cooked in unsalted water and the whole dish was very bland which no amount of salt after=the-fact could make up for.Dear Mmarymomm,Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your recent experience at Lakeview Lounge in Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. We only had breakfast in the restaurant but what a lovely room. Somehow this hotel combines the look and feel of a traditional upmarket alpine hotel with being comfortably right up to date. Staff were clearly well trained and efficient but also had the warm friendliness we came to expect in Canada. It was good to have the cheaper and more casual âpubâ option for dinner but that wasnât quite so special.
