this busy dairy bar is wonderful. It has home cut French Fries. Many different kinds of soft serve, hard ice cream, sundaes, and many other ice cream treats such as Icebergs etc. If you like hard ice cream this is the place to stop! You will be in AWE of the size of the cones!!!! They have a mini golf course out back and a play area with lots of equipment. They do Birthday packages, held in a separate room. Inside dining area is Beachy in decor and has a nice fireplace for cooler weather.

While on vacation we noticed the Family & Friends restaurant was no longer al0ong the main road. We assumed it closed. We then tried to eat at the Island Pub only to be told without a reservation, it would be a 20 min wait (Sunday at noontime). We left and walking along discovered our favorite restaurant had not closed but had moved to a new location, almost across from the Island Stone Pub. This is a great new location with a nice outdoor patio area, and very nice design inside. Fate must had been on our side, as we had a great meal. Our server 'Lillian' could be awarded top server in PEI, and we observed the other servers just as friendly and attentive. The meals here are large and excellent value. We forgot about the large portion size meals when we ordered, so we ordered an appetizer of potato skins ($9). Looking back, we did not need an appetizer, but new are happy to get these potato skins, Thin slices of skins done to perfection with lots of green onion, bacon bits and cheese. I had the Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo ($15). This is a large serving that comes with lots on onion and mushroom. The sauce could have been thicker, but the taste was fine. Kids had 2 piece fish and chips ($17), Vegy stir fry ($13) and Chicken Ranch plate (($14). All large portion which resulted in food left to take home. This is a must visit restaurant if you are anywhere near Kensington. With exceptional service, food and value, this is the place to go.Thanks Blair for the awesome review and we are so happy that you found us. I do have an amazing staff, front and back end but will certainly let Lillian know your review and you are so right she is amazing!! Thanks again and we are so happy that you enjoyed your meal !!

Great place for a relaxing meal on the deck overlooking scenic New London bay. Our fish&chips, burgers and lobster roll were all good and the Gahanâs beer was cold and tasty. Prices were reasonable and service was friendly. There is even a resident blue Herron nearby, appropriately named Hank Herron.

We stopped in for a tea. Cozy little place with a full menu and friendly staff. You can also get your tea leaves read if you're interested. We both had a cup of tea but the food looked and smelled great.

At some point, I have to learn to stop trying to visit this pub. A few years ago, I took my family for lunch but left after enduring such rude behavior from the manager towards us and her staff. Fast forward to this summer, when I thought I would try the Pub as I heard it had new owners. We arrived shortly before noon on a Sunday and saw lost of empty tables outside. Imagine our surprised when we were asked if we had a reservation. Who would have guessed I needed a reservation at a pub on a Sunday. Guess all those empty tables must have been reserved. After being told it would be a 20-30 minute wait, we left. So once again, two tries to eat here and still left without a meal. Fortunately, we discovered another known local restaurant that recently moved across the street.
