A Staple of Kingsvilleâs amazing restaurant scene since 1989, be part of what we LOVE to do. Join us on our wrap-around porch, outdoor patios or distinctive dining rooms. Enjoy wine from EPIC wineries, local brews featuring in-house BgB, and seasonal menu
I visited the pub in early September, sitting on the patio. The first thing I noticed were wool blankets draped over the chairs. Instead on keeping patrons warm with propane heaters, like many places, they use zero-carbon blankets. Very cool! The pub has a relationship with Banded Goose Brewing. I first tried the golden ale--fruity, full, and yummy, with medium hops. I later tried the Milkshake IPA. It is a bit cloudy, caused by lactobacillus I think, which adds a touch of sour like the best Belgian beers. I quite like different tastes, so adored that one. The building is an ivy-covered old house with lots of charm. The varied menu offers a selection from starters, to burgers, to fish, sandwiches and mains. My meal was tasty and the server friendly and professional.
Excellent dinner at this new establishment in Harrow Ontario. Enjoyed a caesar salad with chicken and the Samuel L Jackson burger with grilled pineapple on it. Both very tasty! A beer from G & L Heritage (Beerded Dog didn't have their brews yet) and finished up with the Deep Frield Cheese Cake. Can't wait to come back and enjoy a brew on their outdoor patio.

Drifters is located in an older home right on the main street in this small southern Ontario town. Have driven by this place many times but today decided to join family members for some lunch. The place was not very busy when we arrived but gradually other customers wandered in. We ordered sandwiches which were very well prepared and tasty. The service was great and we certainly would return for another visit.

When outside in the county between harrow and amherstburg, not really sure where to go for breakfast. But as part of the tour county road 50 weekend, started with breakfast here at the intersection of Hwy 18. I have driven by this business and have always thought it was a convenience store and did not realize there is a restaurant inside. You do enter through the variety store with the kitchen in the back. The decor is rustic country. The menu selection has something for everyone and everything is made fresh with mom in the kitchen and dad watching the variety store. When we visited on Sunday morning, it was busy and service can be slow. The food is good, location is easy to find and is a good spot being close to harrow and holiday beach. I do wish they do them out and will visit again for breakfast if I find myself visiting in the area.

The 4 of us ordered the fish and fries lunch special. The fish portion was not really big enough to satisfy our hungers. Mine was literally 6 bites. Disappointed since nearby, they tout themselves the Walleye Capital of Canada. This restaurant is old and quaint but is kept up. Probably won't be back.

First off you got five stars outta me for the nostalgia factor, for the experience of it all. Diner breakfast isnât supposed to be fancy, the coffee doesnât need any notes of hazelnut or any other pretentiousness. The coffee is watery and slightly caremelized and bitter because youâre supposed to drink 4-6 cups of it, the bacon and eggs has that grease because you need that FIX. Youâre in a diner, stare at the old Elvis clock and Coca Cola logo glazed on the decorative mirror and keep your mouth shut so you can eavesdrop on the construction workers and other stoic old men, youâll hear the weather forecast. And you better nod at them if you do happen to make eye contact, so donât be a jerk. Itâs CASH ONLY, you hipster donât mess this up. Youâll notice, youâre the only one staring at a phone, so put it away and enjoy the comfortable silence only old diners now have. The morning never seems to end, time goes by slower and you can read the paper for an hour after you have eaten and you wonât feel like a loiterer. Like I said, this is small town diner food. Butter your toast and spread some strawberry jam on it. Get bacon AND the sausage. The beautiful old waitress will call you hun or darling, and you make sure you flirt with her in the politest, most innocent way known: catchy one liner trueisms âIâll be back for breakfast so often my wife will start wondering whatâs going onâ with an innocent wink and eyebrow raise. If youâre under 60 and not in construction boots, youâre probably hungover so get a double cheeseburger to go, itâs like around 6$. you make sure you tip her real nice too, ya young whippersnapper.

This is such a great hometown local establishment. We all ordered breakfast and it was wonderful. The portions are good, the prices are excellent, and the food was delicious. The coffee was also very tasty! You really canât beat it for breakfast. We decided to make it a monthly trip to Danielleâs for a girls get together:)

Our server Karyn was friendly but not very fast or efficient. I ordered the burger ($17) with NO mustard and a side salad with buttermilk ranch dressing. The burger was smothered in grainy mustard and the salad dressed with a mustard vinaigrette. I scraped the mustard off and it was a very tasty burger. Karyn wanted to just bring me the correct dressing to ADD to the already dressed salad. I asked for it to be replaced with the correct dressing. The owner/manager(?) provided a complimentary dessert as compensation. Nice gesture but Karynâs comment that the comp was because the dressing âwasnât on the sideâ did not reflect the errors and certainly didnât acknowledge her part in our dissatisfaction. My husbandâs perch ($19) with their Cooper Fries ($2.) was perfect. This was our second visit but we probably wonât return.Thank you for the feedback on your recent experience. We sincerely appreciate your insight as it helps us build a better customer experience. We apologize that your visit was less than perfect as we make every effort to ensure our customers have an awesome experience. If you have any more questions, comments, or concerns or compliments, please feel welcome to reach back out as we would be more than happy to assist.

Family owned & operated, all day breakfast, pub fare, Ontario craft beers and local wine.
The food at Garfield's is homemade, fresh and very good. We enjoyed a really nice lunch one afternoon in the off season. This is a place that is super busy in the warmer weather with its convenient location on County Road 50 near Colchester beach.

Thanks to Chef Aaron (one of the best chefs, in my opinion) and our server, Brooke, for a wonderful dinner. Delicious and more than enough!A gem of a restaurant. The dishes off the regular menu that we saw going by looked fantastic too; we will definitely be back.
