If you are someone who has to have great decor in order to enjoy the food you will be disappointed. The booths are 1950s' style formica. The place is clean as a whistle and the food was really good. My younger daughter (31 years old) is a vegetarian and she was really pleased with the tofu and mixed veggies dish. My son and I polished off an order of General Tao's chicken and my wife enjoyed the almond chicken soo guy. Really enjoyable and the four of us ate for about $50, tip in.

Enjoyed our dinner out at this spot in Fergus. We started off with two appetizers. The mussels in a spicy tomato sauce were flavourful with an abundance of nicely spiced sauce. It didnât come with bread or crostini so we asked for some bread so as not to waste the sauce. We were delighted to receive warm triangles of focaccia. Perfect. Then we noticed the table beside us enjoying this bread with a homemade spread ( we had to ask, they didnât). The pear salad was so beautifully plated we almost didnât want to disturb this creation, but dig in we did. Absolutely delicious with a wedge of blue cheese, numerous large walnuts, a soft sweet pear and delicate greens. Very pleasing to the eye and palate. Our mains were served hot and good size portions. Spaghetti and meatballs were two large tasty meatballs in a lovely tomato basil sauce. (picture taken before being topped with cheese, my bad). Th chicken pesto Farfal was also delicious. Two things stood out to me. There are two large chandeliers that seem to be very bright. I think a couple of dimmer switches would soften the light and atmosphere. Secondly the service was efficient but not highly communicative. We placed our orders from the menu and then listened to another server describing dishes to the table beside us which we thought must be the specials. Mind you we didnât ask if there were specials, but should we have to? We would go again because the food is really good and reasonably priced. We wouldnât be looking for any entertainment factor with the dining experience.

My husband and I wanted to try a new restaurant in the area within an hours' drive and after locating this restaurant on line we decided to try it out on a Saturday evening. We were seated in the atrium overlooking the back patio with a lovely fire going outside for anyone that may have wanted a romantic fire and a glass of liquor after a nice dinner which looked very inviting. Our server Megan was amazing,...she really made our visit here quite memorable. She was very professional in dealing with us and helping me to pick something popular from the menu. She never took that lovely smile of her face the entire evening,..even while serving others and while working with her co-workers,..she truly looked like she was enjoying her job so much. All of the other waitresses looked the same,..so we can only gather that working here is a happy place. Megan helped suggest popular and great tasting items on the menu to us and she was happy to ask the chef if I could switch up another side dish to go with my fantastic pan fried pork schnitzel. It arrived on a seasoned wooden board,..with an array of seasonal vegetables ranging from brussel sprouts, broccholi, sweet potatoes and carrots. The fantastic schnitzel had a very pleasant tasting saurkraut on top of it which was tasty and not sour like some varieties. I opted for a dish of spaghetti with bolognese sauce on the side to reply the mashed potatoes that came with the meal and glad I did as it was very good with lots of grated parmesan cheese on top. The meal also came with a small dish of sour cream and a lemon,... This was a lovely meal and glad we both got the schnitzel to enjoy this time. We had a lovely bottle of Italian white wine and I ended my meal with a sizable piece or tiramisu which was terrific and presented very well with chocolate drizzles and powdered cocoa,... We almost hated to leave. Upon leaving we also had the opportunity to speak with Heather the service manager who took the time to chat with us. She is a lovely pleasant lady,..very professional as well and spoke highly of Megan. She gave me her business card to call her again if another reservation was required so she could handle it herself. We intend to bring a number of neighbours back soon for a nice evening celebration and I feel she will take care of us,...and hoping Megan will still be working our table as well. All in all,..a great experience,...a fantastic meal,..very clean restaurant,..wonderful ambiance,... We WILL return very soon again. Well worth the 45 minute drive to enjoy a lovely evening out and not rushed at all,..thanks Megan and Heather,..a job WELL DONE.

Finally a spot in Fergus to get a good cocktail! Food is always great and service is the best around. I would recommend the perch and chips. My daughter was happy with all the vegetarian options too.

Scozia has amazing food with good Interesting variety. The staff are very welcoming and engaging. The Beef Tnderloin is very tender and cooked to perfection. The pasta dishes are amazing. They have a verde salad that is served with their house dressing apple cider garlic Dijon. We purchased a bottle to bring home because it was that good. You can't go wrong with anything you would choose. Our server recommended the escargot appetizer that we shared. It was done with a ravioli and a brown butter sauce. It was the best escargot dish we have ever had. They really make you feel at home and comfortable. We did not want to leave. Try Scozia Restaurant, you will not be disappointed.

The Fountainhead Health Store is open Monday-Friday 9-6, Saturday 9-5. The Red Door is open Monday-Saturday 11-3 for lunch, serving drinks and dessert throughout the store hours.
Love going here for lunch! This is usually my first choice when planning to meet a friend for lunch. I really like the dining room over looking the river area in downtown Fergus. The sandwiches are very good and have always loved the soups.

We popped into the Bentley House Tea Room, soon to be rebranded, and met the new owner Christelle. We enjoyed two different teas, both very flavourful, from a selection of over 200! Scones accompanied the teas and these were delicious and moist. I am a real pastry lover so I rank these scones in the 95% percentile! Awesome. Best part of the visit was the very friendly, helpful and modest owner Christelle who informed us of her plans to offer a greater selection of baked goods. We walked out with several unique teas and we departed with a strong desire to visit again! Thank you Christelle for a lovely afternoon tea break!Thank you SO much for this review, for taking the time to share your experience and for spelling my name right 3 times !!! I am so glad you enjoyed our teas, our scones and my vision for the place. Slowly adding more French pastries, one delicious bite at a time. Looking forward to host you again soon !

I am a long time client, never been unhappy with the fish and chips here. Restaurant has a cozy, old fashioned feel to it... though I miss the rickety century old wooden floors that were recently replaced with laminate flooring... Great location, though parking can be a challenge. Fish and chips are great, though a little skimpy on the amount of fries that are served with it. Come on folks- potatoes are cheap!! Highly recommended.
