Hate to admit that this was our second choice but after our pizza arrived we were pleasantly surprised and glad things worked out because this had to be close to the best we've ever had. Crust was thin and tasty...sauce was excellent...and all toppings were fresh and delicious ..We'll be back for sure.

Enjoy some home-style Southern BBQ in the heart of Muskoka! With our in house smoked meats and fresh made pasta, you can dine alongside the beautiful Muskoka River. Waterfront Patio open all summer long.
After long day in the sun arrived after 8 PM for dinner. Room with the view was freezing. Sat futher inside at round table with very low bench. Wednesday wings were sold out. My wife had a very tasty greek salad and I had 3 smoked ribs - meaty and very tasty. Our friends shared a large plate of tacos with smoked chicken. Good service.

Popped into Nickâs one afternoon while staying at a cottage nearby. We all ordered off the breakfast menu and everyone enjoyed their meals. I had the Greek omelette and I canât even describe how yummy it is! The portions are quite large and everyone left happy and full. We came in as a group of 6 and were served quickly by a friendly server. The atmosphere is different from other places - itâs an old home that still has its original charm with a huge wrap around patio. We will visit again next time we are in Bracebridge.

Just stopped by to satisfy an afternoon butter tart attack ....and this place MADE IT!!!!One of the best butter tarts I have had....not only a lovely combination of flaky, sweetish crust and a, soft not overly caramel centre....but also topped with a "dome" of caramelized sugar which just added that extra slight crunch!!! WOW!!!

Drove down from Ottawa. All the dishes were superb. We had the homemade gazpacho, the swiss and bacon quiche lorraine and the freshly baked croissant served with melted brie. It was a refreshing change from the popular local pub fare. Highly recommended if youâre in the mood for light but satisfying meals. Cozy decor and friendly owner. Weâll be back soon to try other dishes and buy some of their homemade frozen dishes for our friends and family back home! Our fav place in Bracebridge.

Took my sister-in-law and niece when they came for a visit. While the location is not fancy it is worth the effort for the food. The service is excellent, everything is prepared fresh and is delicious. Our guests were impressed and very pleased. We will return here again.

A fixture of downtown Bracebridge since 1985, The Old Station provides a unique and comfortable dining experience during all seasons. With a cozy dining room with the warmth of the fireplace in the winter, we offer three feature entree's each evening as w
Friends had the wings and said they were very good. I and another friend had the french onion soup which was very good. I ordered the bruschetta which I don't recommend. All bread and little tomato. Order looked so hudge it was off-putting

Had anniversary dinner here. Made reservations and indicated anniversary...20th!! Would have been nice for a free dessert...not a big deal and doesn't influence by rating...just a bit disappointing is all. Should likely not have mentioned it.Anyhow, neat atmosphere but the place was freezing...why pump ice cold air conditioning if it is cool outside...everyone wearing sweaters...lucky us we got a seat right by an air vent...were given a piece of cloth to put on top of it.Food - it is good but not great. Not for the prices and not for the fine dining hype. My meal looked like a big pile of mush...brown mush on top of orange brown mush. I had the braised beef short ribs - the brown mush, spooned on top of I think it was mashed sweet potato (sorry it was a few weeks ago)..the orange mush. Texture and appearance was not appealing at all. A good chef would NOT have this pairing or presentation. As I said, good but not great, not for the hype and prices of the restaurant. I had the Beef dumplings as an appetizer...I tasted sesame oil for 3 days...not joking....at the price of a meal at an average restaurant...total disappointment.Over-priced wine and drinks...smallest Ceasar drink I have ever been served but the price of a full sized cocktail. And it was not great at all...again, okay but not great.Service - Fair. And time to even get an order in was ridiculous...and they were not busy...middle of the week. Was promised bread...I had seen it at counter and it looked good...it didn't come didn't come....the waiter never brought it, and had to ask a different server...it was brought out 20 minutes after we ordered drinks and 2 minutes before they brought out the meal. Again, for a fine dining type of restaurant it was fair service at best...the owners should visit El Bucco or Painters Hall in Barrie to learn what they should expect from their servers...it would be like minor hockey kids watching an NHL game...except the minor hockey players want pretty much the same ticket price as the NHL game. The food, the service would all be acceptable if the prices were 2/3 of what they are...as such, this is really poor value and thus a 3 star rating from me... I don't see that changing so we will NEVER EVER go back.BTW, and this is not intended to be hurtful, the access is REALLY poor here...parking is not right out front but down some steps, across a path - it is actually nice, but then down fairly steep stairs into the restaurant from the top where you go into the building. If you have mobility issues, not the place...unless I am wrong and there is an elevator or something but I helped a man help is elderly mother navigate the stairs...I know neither of my parents could have. If you have mobility issues, please call to see if there is another way or else stay away. Also note, the washrooms are at the top of the stairs so if you or your loved ones are likely to need washrooms during a dining experience, it is back up the stairs, then back down again. Just being honest, not negative. Not an issue for my party at all but the elderly woman was really struggling.
