Homemade soup is the best. Quaint eatery in behind the Market shoppe. Bright inside and excellent food. Be sure to stop by the fudge counter and get a treat! A hidden jem!
The Ridge Clubhouse's beautiful dinning room with over-sized bar and outdoor deck overlooking the course and perfect view of the Eagle's Nest is the most spectacular backdrop for your morning breakfast, leisurely lunch, charming dinner or special event. W
Great lunch! at Bancroft Ridge today with some Eels lake ladies. Food was amazing, grilled cheese panini with carmelized onions etc. Corned beef, salmon on lettuce and toasted bread, nicely presented. Definitely would return. Looking forward to the breakfast and Chefâs Friday dinner....

This by far is our favourite breakfast place. Its your typical greasy spoon and the food is made with love. You can substitute anything, they have REAL butter for your toast (must ask for butter), coffee is great and staff very nice. Usually, I have bacon and eggs with rye toast and home fries. This is one of the few places that has gravy for my home fries :) Please note: they are moving for October 1, 2014 to 29516 Hwy 28 S beside Kawartha Dairy. New name is "JJ's Diner".

Vitoâs was recommended by motel...it was quite good..spaghetti and sausage with a very good sauce. The Caesar salad was fresh and tasty. Best of all was the service...it was extremely busy ,but we still received great service from Erica..she was better than good..it made for a pleasant dinner

The Craftsman Restaurant is a good old-fashioned family diner located in Bancroft. When you crave classic comfort foods like burgers and fries, we can help to keep your hunger at bay. We are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Visit us and chow down on
Hubby and I stopped in to the Craftsman Restaurant again this past Fall for lunch passing through the area. I ordered a Hot Chicken sandwich with fries and gravy and Hubby ordered a BLT. The BLT was a tad small but I'd told hubby he could share my fries. This is a really nice homey restaurant and we will go back again, but I'm not fond of the gravy so that detracted from my pleasure in the Hot Chicken and my fries. The gravy just didn't have a whole lot of taste.Fun interior, good service.

We decided to visit this pub primarily to experience some to the unique beers that they brew next door. The Pub is your average pub, nothing special with regards to its decor. Food: the burger was good by nothing outstanding. We also ordered nachos, now they were interesting using waffle fries instead of corn chips, good idea except they got very soggy after 10 minutes.Beer: on their menu they offer 11 beers on tap - But in reality the only have 5. We wanted to try as many as possible via a flight of beers, usual 4 in a flight, after 5 to 10 minutes of asking for certain beers and then being told we just ran out, or we don't have that one, or that is only a season beer and we don't have it,or that one is one of our most popular that is why we ran out. Full disclosure, we were there on a Wednesday before Gemfest in Bancroft. Silly me I thought they would be fully loaded with stock for the 2nd or 3rd largest weekend in Bancroft. So we ended up only tasting 4 beers, their loss in more ways than 1. If we ever do go back to Bancroft be sure not to visit this place for a pint, they most likely have run out.BTW I will be adding a post regarding the brewery, which we visited the next day, with even more reason to never go back to this establishment

Fish & Chips Restaurant located along the banks of the magnificent York River across from the picturesque Eagles Nest in Bancroft, Ontario.
Portions were tiny. The venue was run down and cold/drafty. Half the french fries were undercooked. The soup was amazing. The fish was barely decent. French fries were a small, undercooked portion. The waitress was very nice. The prices were too high.We will never return. Shame, as they are rated high, but appear to be a speedy decline.

The Granite On Facebook, Being Confsed With The Granite Grill Which Is No Longer In Business, Been Replaced By Rose's Place
Ate here twice in recent weeks on return trip home from golf tournaments. Limited parking on site but plenty just a short walk west on hwy 28. Good service. Good food - taco salad, ginger chicken noodles, fish tacos and arugula salad with falafel.
