Reviews on Cambodian food in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Budget-minded travelers will appreciate Phnom Penh's reasonably priced hotel rooms (several top-rated hotels on TripAdvisor offer rooms around $40/night). Explore the city's temples, palaces, and the remnants of its French colonial history. Just outside the city, the The Killing Fields (Choeung Ek) are a reminder of Cambodia's tragic past-- a somber contrast to the booming city of today.

We had the most delicious meal at âWe Cheersâ Restaurant this evening. Akin and her young family are the nicest people you could ever wish to meet. They were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The food and the flavours were some of the best we have eaten during our travels in Cambodia and Laos. The restaurant was very clean and modern. What a wonderful and humbling experience. The food was amazing, and Borei our waiter was great! Some of the best food I've eaten in Phnom Penh and very reasonably priced, especially given this is a social enterprise, supporting the visually impaired.Hello, and thank you very much for the excellent review of our restaurant. We have shared your comments with Borey, who was delighted to hear your comments. He has joined our training programme only recently, i.e. two months ago, and it is great that he is already displaying such a high level of hospitality skills. We hope to have a chance to welcoming you again in the future.Warm regards from the DID Team!

Have just had a meal here. Lots of delicious sounding options but I was focussed on the vegetarian options. The menu marked veggie options and there was so many to choose from. For me, that was nice to find. Our food was delicious, well presented and plenty in each serve. Service was friendly and helpful, and good English was spoken by our waitress. It isnât a luxury restaurant but is clean with good, reasonably priced food. What more can you ask for?

Delicious amok with a lot of fish and flavours. I was less enthusiastic about the spring rolls because the rice paper was too chewy. Nice staff and very relaxing terrass to chill out. I also appreciate their 0 plastic waste policy. It's such an environmental disaster to see plastic trash all over Cambodian countryside...

We found Eleven One Kitchen online, and what a great find it was! From our arrival, we were taken aback by the outdoor patio area. It has a very relaxed and intimate feel to it with its warm lights, wooden furniture, and gorgeous shrubbery and bamboo trees. We were greeted by our server and seated right away. My friend and I decided to do shareables and ordered Fresh Avocado Spring Rolls ($4 for 4 pcs), Grilled Seafood & Pomelo Salad ($5.75), Stir Fried Beef Curry and Morning Glory with Crispy Sweet Potatoes ($5.75), and a Beef Luc Lac Burger ($5.75). I also ordered a Iced Lemon Mint Tea ($1.75) and a Taro and Coconut Cream Mash with Vanilla Ice Cream ($4), while my friend ordered an Iced Lemon Tea ($1.75) and a Nhom Ansom Jek ($2.75). Everything was played beautifully and tasted delicious. The Spring Rolls had a nice crunch from the veggies, and the avocado inside was just ripe. The dipping sauce was phenomenal in elevating the dish! The pomelo in the Salad was fresh and added a nice textural component. It isn't like any other salad I've had. The shrimp was slightly overcooked, but still quite yummy nonetheless. The Beef Curry and Morning Glory was stir fried well. Though I didn't taste much of a curry flavour, both the beef and morning glory soaked up the sauce. The sweet potatoes were incredible and not the least bit greasy. The Burger was delicious as expected. Surprisingly, it also came with mashed potatoes and a nicely dressed side salad. Adding a sunnyside up egg would've taken the luc lac to the next level. The Iced Tea was a bit watery if I'll be honest. I didn't get much of a tea, lemon, or mint flavour. However, I love that Eleven One Kitchen has an environmentally friendly focus and has eliminated the use of plastic straws. According to its menu, it is 99% plastic-free - woohoo! For the Mash with Ice Cream, it was a very unique dessert. The mash was on the firmer side and had more of a taro flavour than a coconut flavour. Having a spoonful of it with the ice cream and chocolate sauce was a good way to close the meal. Finally, for the service, all of our servers were very friendly and patient. The food came out fairly quickly and at the same time, which is much appreciated when you're dining with others. Although my trip to Phnom Penh is a short one, I may actually pay another visit to Eleven One Kitchen BKK before I leave. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Checked out the restaurant based on TA reviews. Loved that the place was quiet without blaring music and had a great view of the city. Ordered the Khmer red curry with beef and the curry was good. However, if the beef could have been stewed with a shorter time, it would be tender and not as chewy. Drinks was ok too. Overall the prices were acceptable as compare to other restaurants but the ambience makes it a perfect place for dinner.Dear little_av1d_traveler,Thank you for your feedback with our Khmer of hospitality.
