We serve breakfast and lunch all day long as well as blue plate specials.
Didn't expect a cafe at the Thousand Trails campground; so we had to try it.We ate breakfast and I thoroughly enjoyed the Rueben sandwich made into an omelet. My wife's breakfast burrito had lots of meat; but not much "burrito" type of fixins.
Texas, United States Food Guide: 3 Bar food Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Willis
My husband and I were visiting my parents in Willis and saw the sign for La Plazita Cajun and Creole and wanted to try it. We LOVE Cajun food. The atmosphere is nothing to be impressed with as it is a hole in the wall. There was one waitress/manager I'm guessing??? Something seemed off about her right away. Let me start by saying that the menu is extensive but not quality food. The portions are small for what you pay and I'll get to the cost in a moment. Anyway, we are giving her our order and she is giggling at us. I ordered stuffed crab and oysters but was told in a not so friendly way that they didn't have oysters because they are hard to find right now. OK that is why any other seafood restaurant in that same area has them. I order shrimp with the stuffed crab . My husband ordered catfish and crawfish tails. They were both combo plates priced at about $9.50 a plate. I had a coke and he had water. They both came with a dinner salad which was not impressive. Then she brought our meals out which again were small portions and the food was of low quality. My husband's crawfish tasted very fishy....literally. I have never had crawfish that tasted that way. My shrimp were very small but ok. The stuffed crab again was just ok. We finished and the waitress never brought a ticket. We looked up and she was just standing at the cash register waiting for us to go over there. So we go to the front and she tells my husband that the bill is $40 and some change. Right off we both knew that was WAY off because as I said, both meals on the menu were listed under $10 each which would be $20 for the two meals and then I had a coke which at most was $2.00. My husband did not say anything to her about it, which I really wish he would have but regardless we will never be going again. You could also tell by her demeanor that she was not making a simple mistake by entering it wrong...pretty sure she intentionally ripping off customers.
