Great little dive for good Cajun home cooking. Huge buffet at lunch with many selections. Also a great burger with hand made patty. Very reasonable prices and excellent service.

You know a local place is good if it is hard to park at lunchtime! I really enjoy their plate lunches. But sometimes I just want a nap if I eat it all. I've also been known to eat half and then eat the other half the next day for lunch. Cheaper than the National Chains!
Small restaurant in an old Bank building with fresh, crispy salads and light flaky fried catfish and shrimp. Cafe Evangeline has a loyal local following and well worth the drive from Lafayette. Salads and crab cakes are to die for.
