My first time eating here. Customer and I shared a order of boudin balls with remoulade sauce, they where really good as was the sauce.Customer had the smoked chicken and it looked delicious. Customer gave me a little taste. Moist tender and tasty.I had the blackened red fish salad with pepper ranch dressing. It was a nice portion size, cooked to perfection and seasoned just right. Not a over powering fish flavor either. The service was excellent and very friendly. I will eat here again.

Momma Jo's is a small family run place right off the highway. The menu is limited to chicken and po boys, and I was hoping for something more. I got the special, a crawfish meatloaf, as that seemed to be the closest thing to creole. It was decent, with plenty of crawfish flavor, but it was still a meatloaf. Surprisingly, since LaPlace is 'the andouille capital of the world,' there was no andouille on the menu. There are about six tables, but three TVs, which were competing with gospel music.

It's an understatement to say that unless you are looking for fried seafood, there isn't better food in LaPlace. Not that I've found anyway. I've had two different salads, two different pasta dishes, my husband has had the steak and the pork chop. Nothing disappointed. So fresh and delicious! And the service is great also. Highly recommend!

Came from out of town and expected a more authentic restaurant. The gumbo was good and decent portion. Wish they had their daily specials offered everyday. The jambalaya has hardened rice that sat out too long. Maybe would try eating here again. Potato salad is nothing to be desired. Pasty mush with no flavor.
