Reviews on Cajun & Creole food in Destin, Florida, United States. Destin is located on Florida’s Emerald Coast, which gets its name from its beautiful, clear green water. In 1984, Louisiana Lagniappe was opened and established inside Sandpiper Cove condominiums in what was at one time the Sandpiper Cove Yacht Club. A loyal following was quickly established due, in no small part, to the quality of the food and the attention
Our annual visit while on our family vacation was as wonderful as expected. Attention to every detail and the food was amazing. We have five children (ages 1-8) and four adults, and it was enjoyable for everyone. Attentive, gracious servers, and scrumptious dining!

This place is the best! We enjoyed a drink on the deck and watched the gorgeous sunset. The atmosphere of this restaurant is wonderful. We had a great waiter and delicious food. We ordered the grilled tuna dip and chowder. My husband ordered fried shrimp that was out of this world and I had the âOriginalâ Snapper which when described was something I normally would not order. But Iâm glad I did it was the best meal I had all week- absolutely delicious. We love the stories of the dogs.

We are local, but we were in Destin last week and thought a stop at 790 would be great for an unplanned lunch. Been there before. The food was good. The service was good. HOWEVER, the restaurant has determined to charge what they call a 3% convenience fee if you pay with a credit card. I carefully asked if this was only for daily specials (I only found the notice on the daily special menu but it could have been somewhere else) or lunch or all the time. Answer: all the time. Except for some food trucks this was the first time I have seen this. Credit cards are a cost of doing business. My title says "beware the nuisance charge" so please understand, because of that nuisance I will not be back.
