Was seated immediately to wait for a friend. Peggy was our waitress and she was very attentive but not intrusive. Efficient. Thoroughly enjoyed the Eggplant Pasta and my friend said the fried catfish was very good as well. These were on the "Crowley Picks" and would definitely order again. And, would definitely return to this gem of a restaurant.

My wife LOVES Fried Catfish. Friday night is Catfish Night at our home. So . . . hearing Cajun Way had reformulated their Fried Catfish, we opted to do it rather than SW Louisiana's BEST EVER version at Fezzo's.You don't go to Cajun Way for the aesthetics of the dining area. It's the most uncomfortable dining room I frequent. The "booths" just aren't made for large men and there's absolutely NO privacy. You eat on paper plates, utensils, etc.I've never had issues prior with the help. Fact is, they've always been quite pleasant and cooperative. The counter girl this time, though, had a real attitude. I had never seen her before there so maybe she was new?My wife ordered the Fried Catfish Platter which included Fries and a Roll, for $7.95. She also ordered a Cup of the Chicken/Sausage Gumbo for $4.95. She thought the Fried Catfish was better than prior, but still only gave it a "6" on our "10" scale. Where before, their Fried Catfish was mostly fried batter, they've tempered that down quite a bit and you actually get a decent serving of fish. Still, it doesn't hold a candle to Fezzo's. We gonna get our Fried Catfish there from now on.She thought the gumbo was heavy on the dark roux taste although that's always been normal for Cajun Way. There was plenty of meat served in the small cup with not much rice. However, you can request more rice and they'll comp it. She thought the Chicken/Sausage Gumbo came in at a "5".I've purchased a lot of their Boudin in the past, so I simply ordered a pound @ $3.99/lb as my dinner. I got the "Mild" as it it spicy enough and the "Hot" isn't a whole lot spicier, but you taste the spice separate from the link when you get the "Hot". Cajun Way's Boudin is heavy on the rice, but I don't mind that. Still, it soggy, wasn't as good as normal and I gave it a "6" when it normally rings in at a "7" for me.I topped it off with a large soft drink for $1.79 with free refills. We'll return, often, especially during the winter months, as it's fast Cajun food for a fair price. However, as usual, we'll probably bypass the dining room, taking our food home by using their drive-up window.
