We arrived to day and wanted a casual local dining experience. This restaurant was recommended by the inn keeper. It was perfect. Food was home made with the right amount of Cajun. Only thing we regret was that the dinner was so good and filling it didnât leave room for desert.

Commander's Palace welcomes everyone but we do have a dress code. It's a festive atmosphere! Shorts are never allowed. Inventive modern New Orleans cooking coexists with our Haute Creole. Sense the team's professional grace clothed in the warmth of the Br
We recently dined at Commanderâs Palace, an old favorite. We were seated in the Garden Room upstairs where we could see the live oak trees. The crowd here seemed like they were in for celebrations. Several tables had balloons. We went for the tasting menu with wine pairings. Why not! First was yellowfin tuna carpaccio with olive vinaigrette served with Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve. Excellent paring! This was followed by a couple of fried oysters with a white Rhone. Next was pan roasted fish with crab meat over white beans with tasso. That was an interesting combination. Wine was an Oregon Gamy. This was followed up by a palate cleanser of gin and cucumber. The meat course was Louisiana Wagyu Beef with a Lake County Cab. The is was the best dish of the night! Dessert was pineapple upside down cake with Tokaji, another great match! Commanderâs is an elegant place and the food can be adventurous or old standbys.

This place is delicious. The burritos at easing and the size of a small child, so you wonât be disappointed. I had the tacos, equally amazing, and a salad which was great too. Everything I ate was phenomenal , even the chips and guac. Go here.

Established in 2009 in the New Orleans Warehouse District, Butcher is a butcher shop, a sandwich counter and a wine bar located next door to Cochon. Chefs Donald Link Stephen Stryjewski offer small plates, daily lunch specials and dinner entrees. Inspired
NOLA for 4 days. We ate here twice. BEST FOOD we had and we went to a lot of good places! Literally every thing we had was delicious! I can't imagine that you could go wrong with any item on the menu but we had: pastrami w/sauerkraut sandwich, hot boudin sausage, Cajun sausage, a porchetta sandwich (sadly a special and not on the regular menu but...to die for), black eyed pea chili. The drinks were great too. The space is really pleasant and, even though the seating is mostly at high tops or a the bar, its a comfortable place to be. Great service too. We didn't try Cochon (the main restaurant) this time but we definitely will when we return to New Orleans.

somewhat hesitant to call any New Orleans eatery my favorite, but this small establishment is that place...great service, delicious food, solid wine list...i've been here three times and have never been disappointed...this time around i had the blackened scallops and they were prepared to perfection! The flash-cooked caesar salad was uniquely outstanding.Thank you very much for this review, Steve. It means so much to us to be considered your favorite! We sincerely appreciate you taking the time to let us know how much you've enjoyed dining with us, and hope to have the pleasure of serving you again many more times!

The Two Chicks Cafe is somewhat difficult to find as it is located inside the building at 901 Convention Center Blvd, but we were glad we eventually found it. The "Under the Sea Omelet" was fantastic! It contained crab meat, shrimp, brie, bell pepper and green onion. The "Crab Cake Benedict "was also very tasty. Our server was friendly and efficient, and she took good care of us. The cafe is a great place to have breakfast!

This restaurant looks good from the outside, and the decor inside is also upscale. We were there on a Sunday night and had a drink at the bar while waiting for a table, not too bad..... But waiting was the name of the game here....we had to wait after we were seated until our server was finished with a big table and could come to us. Her name was Ya-Ya, and she was pleasant and attentive. However, she had to apologize all night for the slow kitchen and at one point even gave us some biscuits "to tide us over", since our meals didn't come out for a VERY long time. Looking about, I could see other people wanting to talk to the manager throughout the room. Some people at a table got their food and others did not, some got their food piecemeal. Then, while we were eating, a child at the next table vomited over herself and the floor and no-one cleaned it up. I finally brought it to the attention of the hostess not to seat anyone there until something was done, that's when someone took care of it. Even though we were in the area for 3 more days we wouldn't go back. The food wasn't bad but but someone needs to do something about the kitchen.

Nothing special to remember about this place by. The food was just okay. The service in which you finally received your food was extremely slow especially for being there around 2pm. They were not busy at all but for a wait time of 1hr you would have thought they were slammed. Don't believe I'd go back, there are to many other good memorable places to eat.

Went with friends and all had great food. Highlight was the crawfish cream sauce over pasta. Snapper great. Bread pudding was disappointing. Excellent friendly service. Definitely recommend.

It s a well established restaurant with casual interior. The locals are there working through their crawfish boil with a sink located outside the bathrooms for cleanup. My visitor and I shared some plates for dinner and they were all good. The chargrilled oysters rivaled the best in New Orleans. The grilled shrimp that topped the salad were fresh, firm and so tasty. Lastly, I always get the crawfish bisque just to see if it s still as good as I remember... it is. I prefer Zydecos to the bisque I had this same week at the famed Nola restaurant in the Garden District where you need reservations. Just my taste preference but anyone can check it out with the reasonable prices charged, and no reservations needed. It can get quite busy but the servers are friendly and hustle to get customers what they ordered. I asked and I can get that bisque to go next time I pass through.
