Food is prepared fresh each order, local ingredients and Okinawa touch. The atmosphere is relaxed and the owners are friendly. The Mexican interior design with quality food to match makes it a great choice.

This pizzeria is probably the best eating option if you're visiting the nearby pottery village. Highlights include island vegetables pizza and the Gorgonzola and honey pizza, to which I'd add the black sugar banana smoothie we shared as a dessert. The restaurant is child friendly but then the main seating area shares a space with an expensive gift shop for the adjacent pottery, so you might want to opt for the upstairs tables if you're nervous or your little bull is hard to control.

I have been coming here over the last four years and LOVE everything about this restaurant. The curries are always delicious. I love the pumpkin curry, yellow yanbaru mushroom curry, avocado curry, chickpea curry....There are different menu options, but I stick with the two curry set meal. The curries vary daily as do the small sides of vegetables. I love that I can try local vegetable dishes and that it is always different each time I visit. They offer vegan meals, but also have jerk chicken and other options. The restaurant owner is the nicest woman. And always remembers us when we visit. She has some toys to accommodate children eating there.

This cafe offers a few desserts, a variety of blended fruit drinks and shakes as well as espresso-based coffee drinks and tea. Main food choices are limited but they do everything well that's offered. Coffee/hot drinks served in Okinawan pottery. They have an all-day breakfast set. Service is great and you can't beat the view. Try to sit at the window facing the sea or the table outside if it's not too windy. No wifi.

Fresh fruit and other Okinawa-grown ingredients from local farmers make possible the manufacture of deliciously sweet and vitamin-rich ltalian gelato
Italian with the Okinawa touch, very good stop for a lunch meal. Prices are higher here than the overall area but the food is great. The pizza is prepared all by hand and cooked individually in an open fire oven (propane.) They have 5 or six pasta set meals for lunch, and the soup/salad set is worth the extra 200 yen. Coffee was the only thing I would classify as average. Desert menu is limited and changes monthly. Feels like a really clean old barn house and smells like an Italian kitchen, nice and quiet but very busy. Seating for about 25 people total with 10 in the main room and the rest in the other sections. Not a good spot for a large group, perfect for a small lunch gathering though.

I went here because it was down the road from our place. I have heard nothing but great things and let me tell you this place lived up to the hype. First and foremost, if you can walk, do that because parking is very tight, you can always go past it and park on the beach and walk back, but I am not sure how "legal" that is.The place is small (surprise!) but very homey with large wood plank floors. There's a surf cottage and lesson place across the street, Ill have to look into that later. Tables are comfortable, and I think there is a back room to handle the overflow, we sat in the front but saw people coming in and being led to a back room. Come to think about it I wonder what was back there? Maybe it was a mystical magical banana pancake world only the locals know about? Or, it could just be where the bathrooms are, Ill find out next time.My son had the M&M pancakes, and I had the banana pancakes. They were light, fluffy, and very well prepared. There's a sign that says be patient on the wall because they make each order as they get it, but honestly it didn't take too much time at all. They also have games and puzzles to keep kids of all ages entertained while waiting for your food.Juices! I had a large mango juice, yeah you could tell this wasn't a frozen kind, very fresh. My son had a guava juice, he loved it.For 3 of us with juices it came out to about 26 bucks, not too bad. Although I could have easily eaten another order of banana pancakes!

A large, high-ceilinged lounge where you can enjoy a nice drink (try the Okinawa Margerita where tequila is replaced by awamori, the local spirit). Snacks include a large variety of cakes and excellent pizza with local foodstuffs, e.g. the bitter melon known as goya.
