Find out what Cafe restaurants to try in Windermere. This popular resort town is located just a mile from Windermere Lake, the largest lake in England and alleged home of more than one peculiar sea creature. If we've scared you out of skiing, boating and fishing in Windermere Lake, there's always horseback riding and golf. Or you can explore the lake from the safety of a ferryboat, which regularly takes passengers from Hawkshead to Bowness.

The Magic Roundabout in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere. Cafe. Gin Bar. Restaurant. Smokehouse. Open daily serving from morning until late.
We passed this whilst going to park the car. Looked interesting so we went back for breakfast. We ordered and when it came there was a mistake as we had ordered the large breakfast and just the normal breakfast came which had no black pudding. After initially saying it was what we ordered some black pudding arrived âon the houseâ and also when we got the bill they had also knocked a discount for the inconvenience as well as an apology. This would certainly not put us off as the mistake was rectified and apology made. We would definitely return.

We'd originally planned to visit the Easy Breeze but despite stating online that it's open 11am to midnight, they were putting the tables out when we arrived and were opening for the football later!!My friends had previously visited the Country Hut and enjoyed it. It was quiet, early evening, but the young lady serving was friendly and made some decent cocktails. The Rum Punch did pack a punch, you could really taste the alcohol, not always the case.I'd like to revisit when it's buzzing.

We had expresso martinis served in the loveliest of golden cocktail glasses. The barman was so friendly he gave my friend a lesson on how to make the perfect cocktail. Her previous attempts where dismal... very good vibe... just a little weeny bit expensive but we enjoyed!!! I would give it 4.8

Just Good Food is a takeaway with seating. All our food is made on site (and thatâs not some stupid technicality like what some places do, it actually is) and itâs made with care. We have hot food pots, salads, burritos, salad wraps and fantastic coffee.
A little cafe and take away, they are open on Saturday evening. No grill seating only 3 tables most of their business is take away. We were visiting the town and sat down. All of the staff were friendly and were happy for us to grab a drink from the local offie and drink it there. We shared a nachos which was great. Fresh tortillas salsa guacamole and jalapeño was a fab starter to share. He had drunken beans burrito extra hot and raved about it. I had the pulled pork which was delicious and very filling. Two burritos 1 nachos and 1 coke came to £20. Definitely will be back if we are in the area again. Thanks guys

Second breakfast visit to this place in 2 years. Such friendly service. Bit on the pricey side (£18.60 for 1 coffee, 1 tea and 2 breakfasts) but on reflection, it was warm, quaint, fast service & lovely staff. What a great bar with lovely people. Stayed in Bowness for 2 nights with my daughters and their partners and went here both nights. Great live entertainment from a talented guy on the piano and attentive, friendly service. I promised to go back and I will.

Friendly family run licensed cafe & bistro providing home made food, cakes and scones. Serving coffee and loose leaf teas. Traditional tiered afternoons teas. Breakfast, lunch and bistro meals.
Very nice and charming bistro! Menu had a great choice. It was a wet and miserable day so we were happy to find a happy face when we arrived. Food was yummy and we could tell it was popular as it was full the whole time we were there. The place is also beautifull decorated! Thank you very much! We love hearing lovely reviews like this and appreciate people noticing our hard work to decorate the cafe and make it a warm friendly place to visit

Coffee House, Restaurant & Bar. Serving the best all-day brunch in Bowness, as well as locally sourced craft beer, ale and cocktails. Locally roasted artisanal coffee and only the best ingredients from the Lake District.
We stopped here on a busy Saturday afternoon and sat outside with our German Shepherd. Ordered two cappuccinos and two cakes. A slight wait, but when you receive quality drinks and cakes and friendly professional service that didnât bother us at all. Thoroughly recommended and definitely worth a visit.

Simple menu, but was fantastic. Between myself and two of our kids we had three of the flatbreads. Chilli flatbread and falafel flatbread were both incredible and the feta olive was also really good. My wife is Celiac so needs gluten free and she also quite enjoyed.Really glad you enjoyed the food and hope you found the sign!
