This was our first visit to VJâs Cafe Bar and it will not be our last. The dining area is divided into several different rooms which seems to work okay. The staff are very nice and the food we ordered was both tasty and delivered very quickly. Really enjoyed our first visit.
We called in the Allotment Cafe this afternoon for coffees and cakes. The dining area is bright and clean, the staff are very nice and the drinks and cakes were also good. I couldnât resist the last pastel de nata even though Iâd already had the carrot cake. Very nice cafe.

I regularly visit Reds cafe with friends for a chat. I love the comfy sofa in the window and this my favourite place to sit! The staff are friendly and service is quick. I love the jacket potatoes or the tuna melt panini and the home cooked chips are to die for! Delicious!!! The large latte is very generous in size and great value for money, would recommend! (But please save me the sofa!)

Warm friendly cafe/wine bar situated in orrell village. We serve delicious sandwiches, soups and breakfasts accompanied by our amazing coffee and fresh cakes. We provide a warm cosy, atmosphere where we hope you will enjoy visiting.
We have been to this cafe/ restaurant three times. The second time was for breakfast and we were quite disappointed that the lovely meal was served on cold plates which seems to be the norm in a lot of eateries these days. We did point this out to the staff and they said they would mention it to the chef. Having said that, the last time we visited we both thoroughly enjoyed our food although I struggled to finish the enormous sandwich I ordered. Would recommend, lovely decor and atmosphere.

Enjoy the Houghwood experience in a perfect setting, overlooking the beautiful North West Countryside. With a modern British menu on offer, together with traditional Sunday Lunch. The first floor restaurant with its great food, friendly staff, magnificent
Very pleasant surroundings with beautiful views as far as the river Mersey. Brunch in the Spikes Bar was okay but the menu has been much reduced including the disappearance of the scrumptious turkey and cranberry sandwiches. No festive afternoon teas being served this year also a disappointment. Hopefully the new year will see a review of the menu. Also £2.25 for a small bottle of Coca Cola is rather excessive.

We serve freshly cooked breakfast, handmade gourmet burgers, pulled pork, fried chicken, wraps, paninis, sandwiches and jacket potatoes. We serve a wide variety of cold drinks and barista style coffees. We make a selection of cakes and cheesecakes daily.
Called in for impromptu lunch with our Grandchild. Food cooked to perfection, gluten free preferences catered for, service excellent from friendly staff and food arrives prompt & piping hot. Lovely atmosphere, great service at reasonable cost- couldnât ask for more. Other family members opted for liquid lunch at popular watering hole directly opposite the cobbled courtyard which makes the venue ideal location.
