Things to do in Wickford
Since starting work in the area we have been coming here for breakfast quite regularly and this place never disappoints. The service is so quick that you are sometimes just sitting down after ordering and your food arrives! There is a real cross section of people in here from builders to couples, families, older residents, emergency services which just shows you that the place must be good as it is always so busy.

Had a sandwich lunch here with a friend. Good choice, lovely sandwiches, service may have been slow but we werenât worried. However, very unhappy about toilet facilities. Two separate loos. Both had liquid hand cleaner, the sort you use on dry hands, but no actual soap apart from some manky tablet soap in one loo. One toilet had an electric hand dryer, the other only had a fabric towel. I would NEVER dry my hands on a fabric towel except in my own home or that of family/close friends. So Iâd hate to think my food had been prepared by someone who was using these facilities.Do I recommend? No, for reason above. Will I go back? No, ditto. But Iâd be delighted to be told that staff have their own facilities.

Coffee shop and Café serving breakfast, brunch and lunch to eat in or takeaway.
My fiancé and I visited after recommendations. As they offer both healthy and indulgent meals it caters to many tastes and diets l, including vegan. The protein smoothies, cinnamon French toast and sweetcorn fritters were all absolutely delicious. Service is friendly and efficient. Excellent value for money. We will be returning often!

Went with a friend this afternoon for a cup oft tea and a bacon sandwich. Lovely tea served in China cups and saucers my friend had a very tasty salad with a generous dish of tuna to go with it. My sandwich was served in granary bread which was the freshest bread I have had in ages. We had two pots of tea which gave us each nearly three cups each. Delicious. The ladies serving were efficient and friendly and we both wish them lots of luck in their new venture.

After you have looked round the shops & done your shopping in Wickford why not pop into the Wickford Diner for some refreshments. The staff there are very friendly indeed, there are plenty of tables. They have a very comprehensive menu to suit all tastes & you receive generous portions. Everything is freshly cooked to suit your requirements & all this food can be bought for a very reasonable price. This diner is well worth a visit.
This newish cafe was recommended by friends so we visited on a Saturday afternoon. It's in Wickford Memorial Park which is a lovely park and a great place to take the children for an afternoon. The playground next to the cafe is really good and the kids love it and there is free parking too. The cafe has tables inside and outside and the service and food is excellent. I had ham eggs and chips and my wife had home made lasagne. The eggs were free range, the ham was good quality and they were served with a generous portion of proper chips. We had hot drinks, cappucino and americano and it was good quality coffee. We were also tempted by a slice of Victoria sponge sandwich which was delicious. There is a crazy golf course next door to keep the kids entertained and you can get clubs and golf ball from the cafe for a very reasonable charge of £1. We will definately be going back and I would expect it to be really busy in the summer.

This is a traditional café, a warm welcome and plenty of seating. A wide menu, or traditional food. Great breakfasts, and they can also do excellent poached eggs, which some cafes do not even try.Looking for good traditional food, here it is

I visited thie cafe/restaurant today to have lunch with two friends - this is not my first visit. A very fussy friend recommended this to me and I have never been disappointed yet. The food is always lovely and the staff are always, helpful, friendly and obliging. One of the best things about coming here is that you're never hurried, you can stay and chat as long as you want to. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Lovely log cabin situated on in garden centre serving hot and cold food and drinks 7 days a week also sell beer and wine. we are on just eat and do deliveries too
Arrive for lunch, managed to get a seat, but had to ask for the table to be wiped down. The staff were friendly but very busy as every table was taken, the noise level however was so great we were having to almost shout at each other to be heard; there is definitely a need for sound dampening or proofing. We opted for the big breakfast: - 2 Bacon, 2 eggs, sausage, toms, mushrooms, 2 slices of toast and a mug of tea £8.20 each - which was very tasty, arrived in good time and piping hot.The door could do with an automatic closer as it was left open several times giving us a cold blast of air.
