Serving brunch 7 days a week. Most of the menu is offered with gluten free options which are cooked on different cooking surfaces. We have a full liquor license.
While driving through Portland we stumbled upon this small restaurant which served an awesome brunch. We didn't have reservations as it was a last minute stop and was told it would be 20-30 mins. We no more then ventured up the road and were told they had a table ready for us. The service was great and food was delicious with that homemade- grandma's secret recipes type of taste. The tables had paper on them so you could doodle while you wait for your breakfast and some of the best pieces of art was taped all over the walls. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend, but reservations are probably best.

I was excited to check out this highly regarded eatery in Portland. I was not disappointed. On arrival I found a quaint and eclectic two story old pub with friendly and helpful staff. The menu was amazing, something for everyone...but I'm a breakfast burrito or Heuvos Rancheros guy. They had both options on my particular morning, and I asked the server for her recommendation. She didn't hesitate in recommending the breakfast burrito with creme lime sauce, black beans, corn, and chorizo. It was spectacular, I ate the entire meal without any problem and it was huge. SO GOOD. I'll be back.

We found this place entirely by accident but came back again happily. It's a large open space with walls lined with book shelves, well spaced tables, and children's nook, and a really good coffee bar (yes, "bar" with stools, etc). The delicious cookies are large enough to share and the coffee is brewed strong and fresh. We didn't eat any of the sandwich type food fare, but the menu is inviting, so give it a go! I gather from postings inside the cafe that the space is used for events on weekends and, yes, beer taps behind the bar give away the transition that takes place in the evening - and there's a wine menu, too. The books are all new and current, so you're not stuck with someone's rejects if you want to pick up something to read. Thinking back, I didn't see comfy spaces to curl up for hours and the tables/chairs, while roomy and well spaced, do not invite staying for hours to read casually. But they would be great for writing a term paper or laughing with friends about what you've read or plan to read.

Truly, everything is great about this place: food, menu variety, comfort, location, parking, prices, and service! Popular with locals, so visitors, seek this out!We came for lunch and were mmediately greeted and seated in this cute, cozy sandwich shop. The menu has great choices of panini, cold sandwiches, soups, salads, shakes and floats, desserts, and specials each day. Even kids' fare like PB&J! Plenty of options for me the vegetarian, too. I had the soup special, corn chowder, that was really creamy, corny and good...and a grilled cheese sandwich, my choice of bread and cheese (went with Swiss!). My family had the Back Shore panini, complete with ham, sliced red grapes and brie cheese...different and delicious. Also the Endless Summer with homemade basil pesto, goat cheese and veggies. You get what you order...not loaded down by french fries or chips. Just simple, fresh and delicious! The prices are very reasonable, no long wait for the food, and the service is great. Our server Casey was attentive, tons of personality, and made us feel so welcome. The location is on a side street off Forest Ave, with plenty of free street parking available. So nice to have this great spot away from the busy downtown fray, where parking can be a real hassle. Keep in mind they are closed on Sundays and Mondays. They are open 11-6 Tuesday thru Friday, and 11-4 on Saturday. Consider also take-out for a yummy meal at home. I highly, highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

I love this place! It is really clean, relax environment and just overall good vibe. I can stay here all day! Their crepes are amazing and they are gluten-free. The soups are comforting, healthy salads with all dressings made in house and also most of their coffee flavorings. Their pastries are delish and just plain sinful. The staff are friendly and helpful with food selections. Their motto is Rooted in Simplicity which are made with wholesome ingredients! A must try if you're in the area. It's busy all the time so it's a good sign.
