Great little place close to Sainsburyâs. Lots of seating outside which is great as itâs small inside. Lovely looking cakes to choose from. I had a rhubarb and ginger cake which was delicious. Coffee was very good too. Friendly service. We are glad you enjoyed your visit to Kaffs coffee Pot in wareham, and enjoyed the homemade rhubarb and ginger cake and coffee, itâs always our pleasure to serve such lovely customers as yourself, we will look forward to welcoming you again on your next visit to our beautiful town of wareham. Popped in for cream tea after a walk to Clouds Hill. Looked very inviting but how disappointing! Sat outside and waited. Nobody came. Went inside in case we had to order and were told to go back out and somebody would come. Waited, nobody came. The place was busy but not overly (3.00 pm on Sunday afternoon). Asked a very efficient and hard working young girl who was busy clearing tables if she could take our order and she said no but she would ask someone. A lady came immediately and took our order. The plate of sandwiches arrived, the waitress was keeping them on the plate by holding them down with her thumbs. Lovely, hope she had clean hands. No cutlery to cut the sandwiches (doorstops), had to go and ask for one. The 3 scones and drinks arrived separately (with the cutlery). The scones were huge and mis-shapen, making it difficult to cut them and to find an adequate surface for the cream and jam. Sadly, they must be the worst scones we have eaten in any of the many, many tearooms we have visited over the years. They were warm, but stale and dry at the same time. Nobody in our party of three could finish them. The jam was not exactly tasty either, although the cream was delicious. The sandwiches and the tea were also very good. Looking at the menu, it would seem that the tea rooms can get busy, as there are indications that parties of more than 8 people must limit their menu choices (what is the point in having a menu one wonders...) and when busy, time slots are allocated. Afternoon tea is available but only if you prebook 24 hours ahead. Not great if you fancy a spur of the moment outing. All of the above gives a distinct impression that customers are welcome as long as they are no bother. Attention to detail is lacking, service is slow, fingering sandwiches to make sure they remain on the plate is hardly hygienic, and as for scones, they were simply awful. Would not recommend and would not return. Very disappointed, seems to be the victim of its own popularity (popularity no doubt due to its location and the lack of competition).

Pleasant location , lovely atmosphere & well looked after restaurant / pubAfter a slow welcome - no problem @ all with attentive & friendly team members looking after a very busy operation ....Menu choice , preparation & presentation of all food selected well above average with no problem at all with small changes if preferred from standard menu descriptions - portion sizes good & all served hot !Drink selection a little restricted as bar area small but still adequate - served well to tableOverall - good news ; worth booking on busy periods ; car parking OK ; toilets - reasonable !? ; informal but smart setting.Value ? - as expected , reasonable.Re-visit ? - yes.
Stopped off for a cream tea and awful service. Waited ages to be serviced, lady was serving ice creams and no one seemed to be at the tea and cream tea area. Young girl running around avoiding eye contact. Finally lady doing ice creams had no customers so I asked and gave her our order. Cream tea arrived no cream as run out only frozen as not defrosted. Lady managed to find cream . Two large scones so great but one small pot of jam and cream not enough for scones. Asked for more cream and jam & had to pay which I said ok but lady disappeared. Was so looking forward to a cream tea very let down .

we were a group of 5, we went to the local chippy, they were rude and unaccomadating, we were told it was half hour wait, no appology, so walked away feeling hungry and despondant, when we came to Jakes cafe, we asked if we could have take away, the lady who served us said yes of course, we only wanted chips, and a tea, she was amazing could not do enough for us, she told us we could sit outside and she would bring them out to us, so we waited very little time, and these amazing chips were brought to us, crisp golden and with mayonaise were fab. this place has a back garden of a good size also, please try it it is amazing and all the staff are too , many thanks
