Wellingborough is a market town and borough in Northamptonshire, England, situated about 11 miles (18 km) from the county town of Northampton. The town is situated on the north side of the River Nene, most of the older town is sited on the flanks of the hills above the river's current flood plain. Due to frequent flooding by the River Nene, the town was mostly built above the current level of the flood plain. Originally named "Wendelingburgh", the settlement was established in the Saxon period and is mentioned in the Domesday Book under the name of "Wendelburie". The town was granted a royal market charter in 1201, by King John of England.

Never had bad food. All cooked to order. Flexible with orders. Good place to meet friends and make new ones. Hidden on the Hemming well but well worth the visit. Excuse the pun!

Seems to me that this cafe has started down the slippery slope as standards appear to be dropping again - funnily since the 'Costa' branding has vanished.Having been run by a major outsourcing Catering corporation who managed to drop it below the poor standard when run by the store, a refit which proudly boasted the Costa Brand saw it peak. High quality food, really cheery helpful and very smart staff providing a high level of customer service took the outlet way above any Supermarket cafe. A great experience which encouraged me to use it every time I visited. Unfortunately, if today's experience is anything to go by, it is heading downwards once again.Two staff trying their best to take orders, control cash, make coffees, deliver food and clear tables just does not work. The loss of the Costa brand makes me wonder if Tesco have taken full control again and we will be heading to the standards previously attained pre the refit.Sincerely hope not!

I visited here for the first time a couple of weeks ago with my mother and her friend. They meet here once a week for coffee. Lovely setting with helpful staff. I had a breakfast roll and was very impressed by the quality of bread, sausage and bacon. On the strength of that visit we returned for lunch today. Once again the food was excellent. We both ate off the specials board. It was good to see how busy the place was and I did recognise one customer from our previous visit.I understand why my mother likes it here as due to mobility problems all is on a level.Finally the cost of both food and drink was very reasonable.Thank you so much for the review and the continued patronage by your family and friends!The sausage and bacon are sourced from a local butchery and we think they are excellent too.... The cafe staff provide a welcoming atmosphere and we have lots of regulars now, particularly for morning coffees and early lunches.Kind regards,

This little café is a pleasant place with unique food options and the best staff in Wellingborough with extremely good customer care, A wide range of cold and hot drinks and known for a damn good Panini. All food is reasonably priced and the staff are always so thankful for any tips and love to chat with all customers.

We visited Beckworth Emporium yesterday and had the most delicious lunch there. We ordered the mushroom tagliatelle which was creamy and delicious but the vegan burger with the green olive topped bread roll was amazing. We both agreed itâs one of the best vegan burgers weâve had. Beckworths have really upped their game and offer a fantastic menu for vegans and vegetarians, including a delicious sounding afternoon tea which weâll be going back for. Shopping followed lunch and as always, we left with some gorgeous tree decorations and lots of other Christmas treats. Planning our return visit already!

This is a lovely little café with very friendly staff. The most surprising aspect is the garden which seems to be a little suntrap. It has a lovely water feature and gives you the impression of a café in Italy or Spain

Upon entering the cafe for the first time we were greeted by very friendly staff who are extremely helpful.The food quality is great and would deffinately recommend their big breakfast to anyone! Everything was cooked to perfection. I can not fault any of it. Very reasonably priced food and drink too.After our meal on our first visit, we started talking to the owner. He was extremely helpful too. All in all I cannot fault Millies at all.It's good value for money, quiet, friendly and nicely furnished throughout. We are now becoming a regular returning customer.

Handily placed at Stanwick Lakes for a light meal to keep you going, this is a fairly typical park cafe with the benefit of pleasant views over the lake. The menu is pretty basic and unpretentious but the food is good and wholesome. Prices are reasonable and staff generally helpful.

I determined my rating on the type of establishment this place is which is a good old British Cafe. They do a wide and varied selection of options for breakfast and lunch with an extensive specials board which included fish meals and even mexican. I very much enjoyed the tuna jacket with a large salad plus a cheese salad wrap with 2 drinks coming to under £10. This was topped off by super fast and friendly service. Great little place and I dont know why I havent visited here sooner! We will be back...

Excellent quality and service along with good value.Just had a breakfast croissant with bacon brie, tomatoes and onion. Delicious. I was expecting just the croissant and was surprised that it came beautifully presented with a side salad. Polite, friendly staff. Nice atmosphere, nice place.
