Delicious food - went in for an off the cuff lunch and definitely not disappointed. We sat out on the train station deck, nice and quiet with an industrial outlook and ordered lunch. Not in a hurry we had the prawn sliders myself the seafood chowder and hubs a brisket burger. The prawn sliders were tasty as anything, delicious Siracha, generous amount of prawn on a sweet brioche like bun. In itself these could be a light main meal if you donât want something huge. The seafood chowder was creamy and full of seafood - fish prawns mussels etc and a nice huge slice of rewena bread to accompany. The brisket burger had a HUGE serving of brisket accompanied by thick home made chips. Absolutely tasty a massive service. Stoked has massive value for money and a large all day menu inclusive of childrenâs menu and all dietaries covered. We finished off with a coffee and red velvet cake - there are several selections of raw vegan paleo slices and bliss balls available as well as a great selection of cakes. Great experience in the heart of Te Kuiti, excellent food great service and great location right next to the Colin Meads statue. Hard to beat

The cafe has a delicious menu. Offering a selection of light or more substantial meals with a fantastic beverage list, you can sit down and relax in this iconic open-air cafe under the canopy of the Visitor Centre. Look out at the native bush of the Waito
We ate here between cave tours. Whilst the food was nice, the counter area seemed too small given the crowds of people that were there. As a consequence, there was confusion with our orders and service was a little chaotic. I think a bit of re-design and a couple more staff would sort out the issue.

Disappointed to be told, "go there for breakfast".Disappointed to read signs that say, "open for breakfast".Frustrated to go to online searches that indicate, "open for breakfast".Furious to show up at 9am to a sign that says, "Open at noon". Get your act together.Hi there, Yes we are open at 8am everyday for breakfast. The sign on the door is for the sale of alcohol and our trading hours. I apologise for the misunderstanding and hope you will come back and visit us for breakfast. Regards Kiwi Paka Waitomo

The Long Black Cafe is a great place to sit back, relax and enjoy the high energy atmosphere as excited visitors depart and arrive for their Black Water Rafting and Ruakuri Cave adventures. Hosting an epic burger menu, we have whatever is it you need to f
A few of us waiting for our black water rafting trip were going to get a quick bite to eat but after seeing the chef wipe her nose and continue making food then cafe attendant scratch head and then pick up customers cake to serve with hand put us all off.Kia ora, thanks for your feedback. We apologize this was your experience. We will pass on your feedback to improve the experience for future visitors.
Waitomo's newest cafe, we opened in November 2018. Muffins, scones, cakes and slices baked fresh every day. Salads, sandwiches, pies and an extensive breakfast menu available daily.
Stopped in to the recently opened cafe to try their breakfast/brunch menu. We were not disappointed. A much needed addition for Waitomo. Hubby and I both ordered the grilled banana and mascarpone pancakes with bacon. Unbelievably good and delicious. Good selection of teas, drinks and coffee. Great cabinet selection of freshly made scones, muffins, slices, savory options and yummy salads. We sat on the deck and watched the world go by. The cafe is inside the adventure centre which is newly opened and still undergoing finishing work. Don't let that put you off, it's well worth the trip and the food wont disappoint.

The Waitomo Homestead serves as a welcoming gateway to the Waitomo area. The perfect place for guests to relax in before or after their Waitomo experience on our expansive deck with rural views or in our spacious cafe, on our comfy couches or in our kids
After visiting the Waitomo Caves, we came here for a buffet lunch as part of our tour. The foods were good tasty and included vegetables, salad, potatoes, rolls, etc. The meat items were served separately at your table including steak, grilled chicken and fried fish. All were yummy. The buffet also included a chocolate cake and drinks (water, beer, wine or sodas) at no cost. Overall pretty good for a tourist buffet.BOTTOM LINE: The restaurant also caters to walk-in al a carte business separately as well and also has a nice coffee bar. MY RATING: 7/10.Inside also is a nice gift shop and place to but cave tour tickets.Kia Ora midwaytoheaven,Many thanks for your extensive review of our coach tour buffet lunch, cafe, retail and cave reservations. We are most happy you enjoyed your stop with us, safe journeys to youWarm Waitomo Wishes
