This restaurant has everything to have a nice meal; environment is very comfortable, it is like be eating at home, the owners and staff are beyond friendly taking care about every detail in your food that by the way is excellent! La carta no es tan variada como en otros cafés, pero lo que hay es muy rico. El servicio es amable, los platos se sirven rápido. El lugar es amable. Hay mesas dentro y fuera y hay un segundo piso. Se encuentra ubicado frente al acuario. Los platillos son vastos y se sugiere compartir para poder disfrutar de más variedad.

i visited veracruz and found this cofee place near my hotel, it became my breakfast place. it's very clean and the food is great, wether you like a light breakfast or the specialties from veracruz, they have it and deliver a great meal for a fair price. It seems like those places where the locals like to eat. The coffe is algo great as in most places in veracruz.

Having lived in Seattle for many years, I am a coffee snob. This quaint, clean cafe exceeded my expectations. The espresso machine is unlike any I've seen. Makes a perfect, creamy latte. An added bonus is the milk choices - regular, light, lactose-free, and lactose free-light. We returned daily while in Veracruz. Friendly staff.

Café la Merced gives an authentic taste of Old Veracruz, which is sort of like Havanna. It is, in my opinion, close to the real thing, and not at all like Disneyland or other corporate this-or-that's. It's wonderful.

This is probably the most famous coffee shop in Mexico, hyped to the point I expected a grand show. I didn't get one - no elaborate no poring, no din from people tapping their cups. The coffee, however, was good.
