What is it about small airports, they always seem to have great little restaurants! Maniac Mike’s at Cable Airport is no exception. I was house sitting almost within walking distance so when I had a friend visiting that is a pilot I thought this would be the perfect breakfast spot; I was right. I like the basics when it comes to breakfast; bacon, eggs, hash browns & toast ($8.05). In this case it was an English muffin and the homemade potatoes with green peppers and onion were delish. My friends had the French toast ($5.60) and the eggs, corned beef hash with biscuits and gravy ($8.30). Other than thinking it was too much (small appetites) they said it was delicious. I enjoyed this place so much I returned with another visitor the following week. I had the same, while she had “The Ace” ($7.80) which came with pancakes on a separate plate because they were as BIG as the plate! The inside (first visit) is clean with a great 50s diner feel, outside (second visit) was a bit breezy but great view of incoming planes. Service is friendly, food arrives really fast, and you can’t really beat the prices. If I still lived in this part of the world I think I would become a regular here!

Have reviewed this place before, but definitely a fan. Love eating outside on the patio. Food is consistently good (wish they had a ham steak for breakfast tho). Even order for pickup when i'm working. Salads are always iced cold, glass is never empty, and servers make you feel like family.

Stopped in to this restaurant based on some of the reviews and decided to try breakfast because in their website they said breakfast is served along with brunch. Well this is going to quite true. We were informed that if we wanted breakfast reasonable at 8 to $10 versus crunch also reasonable at $15 but too much food we'd have to wait an extra half hour for our food to come out. They tried to see this at a table by the front door and when there was multiple tables open. Not much room not much but we decided to go elsewhere I would not come back hereHello,Thank you for your feedback. If you order off the menu that your order would take a little time to get to your table. A few reasons why this is: all our food off the menu is made to order and this takes time, some items are quicker to make and some items a little longer, Sunday is the busiest day for our cafe and this also adds a little extra time to your wait. We hope that you will give us another try!

Pros: Clean, no wait, friendly serversCons: Coffee tasted like flavored water (and I even like my coffee weak..yikes) They told me they had just brewed it fresh and I replied that's great but it still tasted like water. I switched to ice tea instead which was also mediocre Lipton tasting. I ordered a cheeseburger with Cheddar instead of American and they didn't ask how I wanted it cooked? It was perfect on the outside but the inside had spots that we're almost rare (but not bloody nor juicy) It looked better than it tasted. Same with the potato salad.. looked better than it tasted. I probably won't be back to try the breakfast... but based on the many great reviews they have, you can try it for yourself and decide
