We were a group of photographers staying in Ullapool and ate here two nights running. The service really was great - two different young people and both were so friendly, attentive and quick. The food itself was really good. The guys in the group who chose the venison could not have been happier! I went for the veggie curry one night and langoustines the next. Both really tasty. Iâll. be back next time in the area for sure! You wonât be disappointed !

This place was a delight to visit. The good and drink on offer was exceptional,as was the surrounding Art exhibits.Particular delicacy for me was the Cheese and Chive Scones which were special. The staff were friendly and buzzing around obviously being new to the job,but all will fall into place,I'm sure.
For those of us who regularly travel between Ullapool and Stornoway, eating on board the MV Isle of Lewis is a very positive option whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food is excellent and the staff on board, especially in the restaurant, and also in the bar, are always courteous, friendly and helpful. However there is one problem - and I have experienced this on countless occasions - the time it takes to go from the servery to the pay desk - on Thursday night an excellent meal was ruined - by the time the cashier processed the four people,(two of whom were paying by credit card), in front of me and I got back to the table, the meal was far from warm - the vegetables were cold and the fish was eatable but far from hot. Caledonian MacBrayne need to look at this issue - they have an excellent facility ruined by the delay between the server and the cash desk. I have rated the service below as poor - this is not a reflection on the staff - they are great - but it relates solely to the aforementioned regular delays.
